Colleens Cottage was just beautiful. It was thoughtfully and well equipped and was more a 'home' rather than just a 'holiday home'. The sitting room furniture was comfortable and supportive (not always the case!) and the kitchen well fitted and homely. Every room was cozy and welcoming and we enjoyed coming back to this lovely cottage after a day out touring the area. St. Just is a super village with every amenity and very friendly people and we used all the shops and pubs which added to our enjoyable holiday. Cape Cornwall is a must to visit and we had breakfast twice at the Golf Club and dinner too. The weather was superb, which of course helped us to have a great time, but a visit to Lizard (for Ann's Pasties!) and Kynance Cove is something which must be done - it is just beautiful! St. Ives, too and Porthcurno and the Mynack Theatre are more places we recommend visiting. This really has been one of the best holidays we have ever had!

About the location
Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.
St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
