The property

After a day exploring hidden beaches and secret coves of the far west of Cornwall, this adorable cottage provides the perfect couples retreat.

Set just a few minutes walk away from the centre of the village of St Just, and a short drive to some of Cornwall’s finest beaches, you couldn't be better placed for coastal exploration.

On the ground floor a cosy living room is warmed by underfloor heating and a stone inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove to make you feel truly cosseted.

For keen cooks, rustling up tasty meals will be a dream in the modern kitchen, where a stable door leads out onto a sunny courtyard garden.

The family bathroom and two pretty bedrooms on the first floor ensure Colleens Cottage is ideal for a couple or small family.

The perfect end to the day can be spent cooking alfresco in the summer sunshine on your own built in barbecue whilst enjoying your favourite sundowner.

The village of St Just lies 8 miles west of Penzance, and offers all you could wish for right on your doorstep, including several pubs, cafes, takeaways, grocery shops and a number of galleries.

Some of the most picturesque beauty spots are within easy reach including the well photographed Cot Valley.

Surfers and families will head to the popular sandy stretch of beach at Sennen just over 5 miles renowned for its amazing surf.

If you rather enjoy the surf from afar there is no better place than at the Ben Tunnicliffe beach café, overlooking the beach.

A stay in this area would be incomplete without visiting the famous Minack Theatre just 8 miles away.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
