“Excellent”

We have just had the most amazing week in this beautiful cottage. St Keverne and surrounding local towns are absolutely amazing, people very friendly and welcoming. The Three Tuns hotel was very hospitable on our every visit . Sue and Ralph who own this cottage were most welcoming too, the property is a credit to them it’s so homely and welcoming and we will be recommending to all family and friends; and we would most definitely visit again .

“The cottage was very clean, neat and tidy.”

- there were a few minor niggles - reviews stated that the kitchen was exceedingly well equipped, this we slightly disagree with, there is no cafetiere or other coffee making facilities (we had fortunately taken our own) and the kitchen knives in the block could barely be called knives in that are extremely blunt - a blunt knife is not really a knife but a piece of metal. The main light in the bathroom was non-functional, a replacement bulb was in the kitchen cupboard but the tools to change it were not available. The lock on the bathroom door kept falling apart - 30 seconds with an allen key would have solved this. The owners were extremely pleasant and I am sure they would have solved the minor problems quickly had we brought them to their attention. They are minor problems involving inadequate attention to detail. Otherwise a very nice cottage.

“Beautifully kept premises inside and out.”

Owners very friendly and welcoming and helpful re any need. Owners premises called SPRING HOLLOW which is what we saw from the road; Forget-Me-Not is behind; might be helpful to include Spring Hollow in the address for holidaymakers on a first visit. We had a lovely week in beautiful surroundings but we love the Lizard Peninsula anyway.

The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in.The owners,Sue and Ralph live next to the cottage and are at hand if required,parking for one car is right next to the cottage.Tea and Cornish biscuits greet you on arrival.The cottage is right in the middle of a quiet but lovely village,with two great pubs,a newsagents,grocery store and post office.

We felt guilty just dropping a breadcrumb on the floor. It is well equipped from a good laundry area to DVDs and CDs for inclement weather. It is no wonder that the guests’ comments book reflects repeat stays by guests. Excellent value. Thank you Sue.

“Sue and Ralph, the owners of Forget Me Knot, are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet.”

Their cottage having everything needed, is well presented and scrupulously clean, and I mean clean, like new everywhere. The car parking, which meant a lot to me, was perfect. St. Keverne itself is a perfect base for a holiday in Cornwall, having two good pubs doing great food, plus a general shop that sells all you need, in the square, about 200 yards away, ideal after a day out roaming the many fabulous coves and other enjoyable areas nearby. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and hope to return soon.

“Absolutely Lovely”

Set in a really nice village this little cottage is a great place to stay for your holiday on the Lizard. The hosts are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful, the cottage very clean, very comfortable and modern with a traditional feel. Excellent facilities throughout including full kitchen facilities, fridge, ironing board and iron, hair dryer and tv and dvd, with a selection of DVDs, games and music cd’s. There is a small outside patio, which is great for tea after a long day, with shade and a small grasses area. We are divers so we used the grass area to dry some of our gear and then stored it in the utility room which also has a washing machine and dryer. The village has two pubs which are really nice a very welcoming, an historic church and a newsagents, convenience store and bakers/ butchers and a good bus service from Coverack into Helston. The owners provide three suggested walks to local bays with historic information and also two OS maps to help. With Porth Kerris and Porthoustock less than 10 minute drive it’s great for diving, kayaking and walking. The Three Tuns has great food and there is a restaurant in the village, which is meant to be good, but we didn’t go there. Further afield the Minack Theatre, Heligan Gardens and Eden are about a hour drive throug some stunning countryside. Favourite walk through back of church to Porthoustock, a must!

The cottage is right in the middle of the very friendly village,2 mins walk to two lovely pubs, a store that has everything you need and a newsagents if you require to keep up with the news.The Lizard and two lovely bays are only a short drive away,with St Ives about 45 minuets.The proprietors have done everything possible to make the stay perfect,with a pot of tea and lovely biscuits on arrival.

“Fantastic and Relaxing”

Location in a small town with local shop, post office and restaurant, pubs within a two minute walk. Ideal for walkers as the cottage has a utility room for hanging wet clothes etc. Also has washing machine and dryer. Cottage is well equipped for self catering and has plenty of room to move around. Even a little patio to have the evening drink or breakfast if the weather is good. The owners Sue and Ralph are really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be booking for next year.

About the location

ST KEVERNE

Helston 12 miles.

On the eastern side of The Lizard Peninsula, the pretty village of St Keverne, lying just 1.25 miles inland, is the focal point for this area, with its village pubs and shops surrounding the village square, and an impressive church spire, at one time used to guide the Cornish fishermen home. From St Keverne, you can easily explore the natural and spectacular beauty of the Lizard Peninsula by car, bicycle or on foot. You will find walled fishing harbours, tiny secret coves, sandy bays and dramatic clifftop walks along the South West Coastal path. Just north is the Helford River, a yachtsman's dream and home to Frenchman's Creek, and picturesque Helford village. A short walk takes you to Roskilly’s Farm, where you can tuck in to ice cream to die for. Further afield, visit Falmouth, with one of the world's largest natural harbours, Pendennis Castle built by Henry VIII, and of course you cannot miss out on a trip to The National Maritime Museum.
