Just returned from a week in Cornwall and stayed at Merryways. Good central location for exploring and the cottage had everything we needed. Its on a holiday park which has a great little pub and shops although this cottage is more in the residential part so was very quiet. Which was fantastic for us. We took our 2 dogs and it was perfect for them. Enclosed garden and the site has a dog exercise field as well. Just a pity that the cottage is no longer dog friendly as we would have probably used it again I would definitely recommend a stay at Merryways
“Dog Poo in garden that I cleaned up.”
Front Bedroom had clothes tags on floor and the 2nd bedroom had tissues and a old dog bone under bed. Hoover was full and even when it was empty it didn't work vey well. The Light pull switch in the bathroom was so short that my wife couldn't reach it. (not very good in the night). Mattress in the main bedroom has seen better days very hard and the springs are sticking out and bong when you move. The bungalow was ok but didn't feel it warrants the cost charged. On the description of the site it said that it has a pub ! It doesn't it has a Bar/Diner.
“All local amenities, locations and friendliness of the staff at the local club.”
would definately go again
“The cottage was lovely a home from home.”
It had everything that we needed. As for the park itself it is very isolated so a car is absolutely essential. This park is OK for people with very young children but not for teenagers as there is nothing to keep them entertained. The club house and shop close very early. The shop stocks a good variety of essentials and is quite reasonable for most things. The bar offers food with a good takeaway service and the food was very good, good value for money. I would recommend this holiday park if you want peace and quiet and not much else.
“Lovely accommodation and good location.”
The only drawback was the amount of building work being done on St Merryn park
