  • "Our key was not in the lock box as advised and we had a distressing two hour wait until we were able to contact the owner to gain entry (visions of sleeping in the car as there appeared to be no other available accommodation)."

The shower could have been cleaner (the grey hair blocking the drain was not ours) and we bought a toilet brush as the one there was in bits (not the bits we wanted to touch). Smoke alarm needed replacing and generally a bit on the shabby side, but adequate.

  • "Very clean and comfortable accommodation with everything you could need."

Excellent location on a nice quiet site. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Thick dust everywhere, back of bed and on the floor, light fittings really bad with dust."

Meant to have had a deep clean due to Covid restrictions but it definitely had not happened! Family all came home with the cold. Very old dirty smell in the lodge. Needs immediate upgrade, everything old and worn. Had no hot water all week at the kitchen sink. Did not enjoy the stay.

Thank you for your feedback. I have spoken to the cleaner about the dust, this has been attended to and this will be monitored going forward.Thank you for letting me know. The fridge door is integrated so guests need to ensure that the door seats properly but we will of course also double check the supporting structure. We would of course also have advsied of the location for the hot water switch. The meter has a coin in it which can be taken out and then used again and this is explained to guests pre arrival and there is also a notice in the property with instructions. We are sorry we were not given the chance to discuss any of your concerns at the time as we would have investigated/rectified them immediately. Property Owner

  • "We had a great time and everything we needed in the chalet, the beds were comfortable and we all slept well."

The site was good, the bar and play area were very convenient, we ate there on our last night and the food was good. It is in a great position to explore Cornwall. The two chairs in the living area were comfortable but the sofa was worn out, the bedrooms could do with a lick of paint and the curtains and high chair should be replaced, they appeared to have mould on them and the curtains smelled a bit grubby. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

  • "The site was actually closed no facilities whatsoever other than the laundry."

No Wi Fi presumably because site was closed. You should have advised us in advance. Mrs Goddard accomodation was clean, pleasant and some nice touches in there. No problem with accommodation more with information provided

  • "Skylarks was perfect."

Well equipped and well maintained. Would definitely use again and recommend. The site was beautiful, The only downside was the onsite pub and entertainment was closed due to Covid19 which i wasn't aware of and there wasn't an alternative option in walking distance.

  • "Skylarks was just perfect."

..very clean on arrival. Very well equipped with everything you could want from dishwasher & washing tablets to Tupperware box's for picnics. Park was very quiet, possibly due to camping/touring being closed...pub & entertainment was also closed but really didn't bother us - there is plenty to do in the area with superb beaches and lovely pubs in St Merryn. Highly recommend the local Pentruse Farm Shop with some superb local produce.

  • "The Chalet was clean although if I were to be very picky there was one or two minor maintenance items which could be considered in the future but this takes nothing away from the chalet, it was clean and comfortable the items in particular are down to wear and tear (my assumption) and it fitted our needs to a 'T'."

The site was also clean and tidy used by a number of people. Due to the COVID situation the on site amenities were limited (mainly Bar and restaurant not open) the location is very close to Padstow and ideally situated to visit a lot of the local area.

  • "The pictures didn't show how close the other chalets where and that you can't park next to the chalet."

But the chalet was basically clean. The staff were friendly.

  • "When I arrived the vacuum cleaner had been left plugged in the living room/dining area/kitchen."

It was as though the cleaner had not finished/even started on the room. The floor had not been cleaned, the floor was dirty, the sofa was covered in hairs and bits, I had to cover it with a blanket so that I could use it. The other two armchairs with white covers were all stained. Dust on the blinds etc, windows dirty, the chalet needs a good clean. The decking outside and furniture needs cleaning and painting and freshening up. Luckily the bedroom was clean and made up, and the bathroom was clean. When I stayed at this chalet last year it was spotless. I definitely will not be staying there again. It put a dampener on my holiday from the start.

The accommodation was very clean and bright, well equipped, and had a nice outside platform terrace with a table and chairs and adjoining shrubs.
