Willow Cottage is a beautiful, traditional Cornish stone cottage in St Minver, a prestigious area of north Cornwall.

The house, dating back to the mid 1700s, has a beautiful, enclosed south-facing garden and clean, fresh and thoughtfully designed interiors․ Perfect for families or friends, Willow Cottage is very near to the famous local beaches of Rock, Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Porthilly, yet tucked away in a tranquil and idyllic setting․ If you are keen to try your hand at surfing, enjoy lazy days on the beach, walking, cycling, golf or are just looking for a base to explore this wonderful part of Cornwall, Willow Cottage truly offers it all.

Be welcomed into the sitting room on arrival, home to a wood burning stove in the fireplace.

There is a Smart TV to entertain as you relax on the sofas amidst the bright interior, and a unique curved window seat neatly encasing a table, so you can sit and plan your adventures.

Head through to the kitchen and dining area, with a family table to gather around at mealtimes and a neat kitchen equipped with all you need on a self-catered stay․ The utility room at the rear, with a second entrance, provides a convenient space for your coats, boats and wetsuits with a washing machine and condenser dryer at hand.

The three delightful, first-floor bedrooms have beautiful décor and each with built-in wardrobes, ready for you to unpack your belongings․ The first bedroom is a master, with double bed and a vanity basin, the second a single bedroom․ The third bedroom has bunk beds with a trundle bed which can be pulled out to accommodate three guests if needed․ Freshen up in the family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower, great when you need a relaxing soak or a quick rinse; the separate WC next door means you shouldn't be disturbed!

The cottage is in the charming hamlet of Tredrizzick and lies just over a mile from Rock, a beautiful and desirable village resting near the mouth the River Camel and opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow.

A gently stroll away, Rock has many boutique shops, pubs and restaurants, along with a beautiful stretch of sandy beach and opportunities for various watersport activities.

Polzeath Beach, a Blue Flag award-winning beach renowned for its consistent waves, is 2 miles from the cottage and provides the perfect setting for both experienced surfers and beginners alike, with numerous surf schools offering lessons.

Daymer Bay (highly recommended in The Good Beach Guide) is perfect for family beach-days, the nearby, tiny church of St Enodoc sits close to the beach (it was once completely buried in the sand!), and was loved by Sir John Betjeman and chosen by him to be his resting place.

The St Enodoc links golf course nestles up to the sandy dunes at Daymer Bay, providing a stunning location for a day of golf.

Footpaths run close to the cottage and allow you to walk-out and explore the area straight from the front door.

For something more adventurous, you can join the South West Coast Path to Pentire Point and the enjoy dramatic and stunning coastal scenery, with picture-postcard villages dotted all around, such as Port Isaac, a scenic harbour village seemingly from a different era, with charming narrow streets and alleyways․ You can safely store bikes in the secure summer house at Willow Cottage and embark on a day of cycling along the famous Camel Trail, a traffic-free and scenic route, great for families․ Wadebridge, at the start of the Camel trail, is just 5 miles away and is a bustling market town, offering an abundance of shops for you to enjoy.

Take the short passenger ferry from Rock, or drive, over to Padstow to visit the National Lobster Hatchery, choose from a selection of famous restaurants dotted around the town, or enjoy a boat trip out to sea from the harbour․ Many other attractions are within easy reach of Willow Cottage, including Pencarrow House & Garden and the Camel Creek Adventure Park․ The town of Bodmin, a 20 minutes' drive away, is a typical Cornish town and hosts the mainline railway station․ Newquay Airport is 20 miles.
