  • "Although a pretty little cottage it hadn't been properly cleaned ( there were a few dead flies on the window sills and cpb webs everwhere."

). That aside, the week would have been perfect if the utility room hadnt flooded on our second evening and then proceeded to flood again the next day. We contracted the cleaning company (pure) the first time it happened who contacted the owner. We didn't hear back thay day and had to chase again the next day, following a second flood. I did contact Sykes but was forwarded the details of your property managment company which I didnt think was very helpful. We spent over 3 hours cleaning up water with no idea what or where it was coming from. Wasn't an altogther relaxing start to our stay.

  • "The property wasn’t particularly clean for example hair in the blue sink on the bedside table and cobwebs around the skirting boards, I boiled eggs and by the time they’d finished the water was red, presumably from soup or something left in the pan."

A lot of the kitchen cupboards spell very damp. The Trip Advisor listing refers to a king size bed (Skye Cottages doesn’t). The kitchen is very well equipped. The bed linen was lovely and the duvets perfectly light and cool. The extra loo was a pleasant surprise!! The garden was fantastic, lots of safe space for the dogs and beautiful too. Footpaths straight from the cottage…. Skye Cottages sent numerous emails telling us to follow instructions about rubbish and recycling in the cottage. We didn’t find any instructions. Overall the Cottage was exactly what we’d expected with added extras of the covered utility area for the dogs to sleep in. I’d recommend it to friends, particularly with dogs because of the facilities for them and the footpaths.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Willow Cottage; an excellent few days at this lovely holiday cottage in Cornwall was everything we hoped it would be."

Cosy rooms with coastal vibes were complemented by the pretty garden - we did enjoy the garden when the weather allowed. Morning dog walks on Rock beach followed by trips along the coast made for a memorable time, especially our visits to Pencarrow, Port Issac and Tintagel. The pub up the road was such a bonus too!

  • "The cottage and garden are beautiful and in such a lovely setting."

Willow Cottage is really a picture post card place to stay. All rooms and decor lovely, safe garden for the dog to run around and play and was a real sun trap. I would say you need to have a car to get to the shops, beach and pub as Rock is quite spaced out, but what a beautiful place! The beach is probably one of the best I have been on in the UK and the village itself is lovely. Lovely little shops and places to eat. A trip to Padstow on the ferry is a must. A wonderful base to explore Cornwall. We loved it! Thank you Luke for the welcome touches, much appreciated.

  • "The cottage is lovely and could not fault the facilities and location."

However, on arrival the dishwasher was full and had to be emptied, not a great start to our holiday. The main bedroom had underwear in one of the bedside draws. The bath had to be rinsed as there was hairs on the sides of the bath. The general cleaning of the cottage was poor and several light bulbs were not working. This made you start to look and check everything which is not what I want to find myself doing on holiday. It’s a real shame as the cottage itself is lovely and well equipped for all your needs.

  • "Great cottage in a lovely Cornish village and ideally situated for walks to local beaches and facilities."

Kids and Cockerpoo enjoyed the stay greatly.

  • "Lovely stay."

It may be my fault but the facilities were better than we’d expected, therefore, I had an uncomfortable journey laden with stuff I didn’t need! We didn’t use towels or bed linen and we stored them cleanly ( only to find out that they’d all be laundered again anyway)!

  • "Lovely cottage."

Very clean with everything you need. Just a couple of things. We realised after a couple of days the fridge in the kitchen wasn’t closing. The double bed only had 3 pillows, there was a spare in the wardrobe but no pillow case. It would have been nice to have some logs for the rainy afternoon. Small things as overall it was a lovely cottage
