“Beautiful location, so clean and tidy, well equiped kitchen.”

Very friendly owner. there are lovely walks from the property. My husband found the bed uncomfortable but he does suffer from a back problem. Plenty of hot water and a powerful shower.

The property

Two miles from Pelynt, set in a wonderfully private wooded valley, full of wildlife and flowers is this cute detached stone cottage on two levels.

It is perfect for two and has wonderful panoramic views.

Pull on your walking boots and explore the woods and river, there are only birds and bees to disturb the peace.

Family donkey and dogs are extremely friendly and happy to accompany you over the owners' 54 acres (sheep, lambs in spring) which encompass St Nun's holy well; its waters are reputed to cure insanity and all visitors are supposed to leave a gift of a 'pin', in this context a pin of ale for the farmer!

It is a wonderfully tranquil escape, free from traffic noise and light pollution with fabulous stargazing opportunities.

The cosy living/dining room has a high beamed ceiling with an open fire - logs/coal included - and lovely valley views; there is a neat fitted kitchen and a toilet on this level; head downstairs to the double bedroom and a shower-room.

To the front of the cottage is a low granite wall topped with quartz encircling a pretty flower-filled suntrap garden, just right for a romantic al fresco meal.

A great place to unwind.

Just a short drive will take you to the ever popular villages of Looe and Polperro.
