  • "We loved our stay at Cedar Lodge!"

An excellent property with fantastic facilities and well equipped. Jan and Ray were very friendly and helpful. The homemade Victoria Sponge and scones were much appreciated and tasted delicious! Will definitely be returning

  • "Hugely comfortable and welcoming accommodation in a peaceful farm location with resident horses, an elusive cat and 3 dogs as well as a host of different birds to wake up to each morning."

If you enjoy cooking this has to be one of the best equipped holiday cottages you could ask for. Great open plan space with doors leading onto wooden deck and private garden. Highly recommended.

It’s a great environment in which to relax surrounded by fantastic views and all the comforts of home. The lodge is especially dog friendly with amazing fully enclosed space outside complete with daily visits from Chips!! We look forward to our next visit.

Everything you need is provided for a comfortable stay and the owners are also lovely helpful people. Great location to visit many beaches and attractions and a large enclosed garden to relax in as well. Very dog friendly too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

  • "This property is near to LISKEARD not Looe."

Whilst Looe is relatively easy to get to by car, it is not close. Indeed the correct postal address of the property is LISKEARD not Looe as the owner represents. To manipulate the address in this way is close to misrepresentation. That said the owner is charming, it is a lovely property.

Thank you for your feedback and for bringing this to our attention. We really appreciate it. Unfortunately, the nearest town was wrongly entered by the letting agent. This has now been corrected. We are so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Cedar Lodge and look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

Brilliant place to stay and would certainly recommend this place to anyone with a family and of course dogs.

  • "A good test of a holiday home is how comfortable it is during poor weather."

We’ve just had a great week at Cedar Lodge despite a lot of rain! The photos don’t do the amazing views justice, simply stunning. Lodge very well equipped & spotlessly clean. Catered well for dogs too, stair-gate & secure gated garden, big enough to play ball! The Lane to the lodge is a typical Cornish tight one which was a bit hairy but several passing places. Good location for visiting Looe & Fowey etc. Owners next door really helpful & left us the most amazing Victoria sandwich, scones, cream, jam & milk, thanks Jan & Ray for a really relaxing week!

  • "Gorgeous home in a gorgeous setting!"

Hosts Jan and Ray were lovely and very accommodating - such a treat to be welcomed with freshly made scones and Victoria sponge! Their dogs Ed, Sausage and Chips were especially lovely and would often come to greet us and our dog! Cedar Lodge is ideally located - based in the tranquil countryside for peace and quiet yet handy for local amenities and seeing the sights of both the North and South Coast. Would love to return soon!

  • "This was our second time staying at Cedar Lodge."

We loved it just as much as the first time. The owners are very friendly & helpful & great with our children. Its lovely to see their horses on the fields next door. Its a great escape & a easy drive to lots of beaches & places to explore. We would definitely recommend this house to families.

  • "This cottage is shown as being three miles from Looe."

The shortest distance is actually nine miles on very narrow roads and thirteen on major roads. However, the journey to the cottage is well rewarded as this is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback following your recent stay at Cedar Cottage. The cottage is stated as being 3 miles from shops, pubs and restaurants, Looe, however, is the coast being 10 miles away. We hope this is clear to reassure any future guests. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. Property Owner

  • "Loved the lodge."

Very comfortable and well equipped. The owners were friendly, and made cake and scones for us. Only downside......... it was stated that power and fuel included. There was a log burner, and only enough logs for one day. We were told that we had to but more logs if we needed them. We spent over £30:00 on fuel and logs. Something that said was included!!!!!

  • "The accommodation exceeded our expectations."

The views were brilliant. A cake and scones, jam and cream greeted us on arrival and the owner introduced herself to us. It was an ideal location for visiting places. We visited The Monkey Sanctuary, Eden Project, Looe, Wenham and Bodmin steam railway, Jamaica Inn, Polperro and Goliath Falls all within 30 mins by car.

On arrival, awaiting us was the most delicious homemade jam and cream sponge and wonderful freshly baked scones and jam. Such a very thoughtful thing to do. We very much appreciated it all. We will be returning to Cedar Lodge, it’s such a wonder place to unwind and recharge your batteries. We have all come away refreshed and ready to rebook. Thank you.

Jan and Ray were so friendly and accommodating. We arrived to the welcome of a homemade fresh cream cake and scones which went down very well. The setting was beautiful. The enclosed garden was great for our dog and he loved waking up to the view and fresh air. The location is quiet but also central enough for trips out and to the supermarket . Very sad to leave this stunning property.
