  • "The milk, wine and scones were a welcome joy after hours of travelling."

The cottage was warm and cosy. The only issue for me was the lack of light near the oven. It was so hard to see what I was cooking. I needed a torch, which was hard to hold while stirring the pan. It was a lovely cottage within walking distance of the Seven Stars Pub where we could get a meal and plenty of dog walking routes.

  • "A lovely cosy cottage ideal for 2 adults and a small dog."

Great location for countryside walks and the coast, set in a friendly community and it wasn’t too far to walk to the pub for a meal. Overall the property is well equipped,, comfortable and had every thing we needed to make meals and all supermarkets deliver to this area .As previous reviews have said parking is tight and if you do need to take the dog out for their “business” there is a country lane a few meters away. Stopping for two weeks so we missed having a washing machine but this is a fabulous property for a short let. The owners left us a bottle of wine and cream tea that was most welcome, everything was clean when we arrived and there were cleaning products to hand and it was nice to have foil cling film etc available. We would definitely recommend.

  • "Great place for a short stay."

Bed was the most comfortable we have slept in when using holiday cottages. Although we didn't bring our dog in the end the house was well equipped for a dog. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure the kitchen supplies are well stocked. We didn't need to buy the fiddly things such as foil, salt, pepper, oil etc. They even gave us a lovely bottle of wine with scones and jam. The only down side of the location is that traffic can be loud as it's a through road but even still we would stay there again.

  • "A really good base for both north and south coasts."

The cottage although small is well equipped, clean and comfortable. It was all we needed for a great week in Cornwall. On road parking worked for us, we did struggle to fit our car on the area allocated to the front. Thank you very much. Very good value for June in Cornwall.

  • "What a lovely cottage!"

We were looking for a Cornish Cottage feel with a fireplace and had easy access to all the coastlines, and this was just that! Honestly the thought and attention to detail given by the owners to the decoration and facilities of this cottage just shines through everywhere you look, I completely fell in love with it! The user guide was so helpful and the scones were delicious so thank you to the owners for that! We did read that people have moaned about the size of the drive and decking out back, but to be honest it didn’t bother us. The drive is small but we parked diagonally (I have a VW Scirocco) and it was perfectly fine for us, appreciate it may be more difficult with a 4x4 but there is on street parking outside. We had a bulldog with us who only toilets on grass so we just walked him up and down the country road to the grassy areas, plus it was raining through the whole stay so we didn’t need to use the decking, to be honest if you want to see the Cornish coast then you’re not really going to need a back garden! We loved having Alexa and smart lights, was rather surprised to find them in this cottage actually! The wifi worked perfectly well too! A tip for those who are used to having bedside table lamps, you can ask Alexa to dim the lights in the bedrooms so that the lighting is the same level as bedside table lamps! The sky TV was a nice addition too! I honestly can’t think of anything you need to take with you equipment wise as it really does have everything! We slept in, went for beach/cove walks (all within 20-45 minute drive) and cosied up by the fireplace in the evenings, couldn’t think of a better way to get us ready for the winter season! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the owners were very accommodating, I couldn’t recommend this cute little cottage enough :-)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful piece of feedback. It means everything to us that our guests enjoy their stay and that they found the cottage equipped with everything that they need. Great to hear you enjoyed the Cornish coastline and also your evenings by the fire. Many thanks. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely cottage, very cosy and comfortable, very well equipped and ideal location for exploring south-west Cornwall, great pub and lovely walks nearby."

Just a couple of things that went against it, first, the parking is tricky, very little space, we could just about got our estate car onto the apron of parking at the front of the cottage. I realize there's not a lot you can do about this, but it might be helpful to alert people to this as on-road parking is very limited. Second, some beside lights would be good.

  • "I was delighted by the cleanliness and very well equipped cottage."

I appreciated the nice little touch of complimentary bottle of wine and local cheese, also the selection of condiments, tea , coffee and milk etc. All the information packs I found useful and helpful .in fact everything was perfect with the exception of the toilet seat which was wobbly. We had a wonderful week’s holiday partly due to the lovely weather and the comfortable cosy cottage. Would highly recommend

  • "What a lovely cottage."

Really well presented with everything you would need for your stay. Bottle of wine and scones waiting for us on arrival, the little things all added up to make you feel at home straight away. Tall ones like me may struggle a little but a few bangs on the bonce will teach you to duck! Perfectly situated for North and South Cornwall in a lovely village with great pubs. Would definitely recommend.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed the facilities at the cottage and your time Stithians. We're going to install 'Mind your head' signs to remind taller guests to duck as a result of your feedback. Best wishes. Property Owner

Disappointed with parking Suitable for a mini Outside space size of a postage stamp looking at gable end of next door their drive way and neighbours walking past Not really as described

We regret to hear you were unhappy with some aspects of your stay. This is disappointing as we have made every effort to ensure the listing is as accurate as possible and we are currently updating our photos to reflect recent improvements. We feel this feedback does not reflect the facilities that our cottage offers. The listing states 'off road parking for one car' and whilst not large, I am able to park my SUV type vehicle with ease on this space as have previous visitors. On street parking is also available adjacent to the cottage. Had we been contacted at the time we may have been able to assist you with your difficulties. The outside space is listed as 'rear courtyard with furniture. We've furnished it with a bistro table and chairs and a bench seat for our guests to enjoy a drink or two. It predominantly overlooks our neighbours well maintained grassed area and yes off to the side is the whitewashed end of our neighbours cottage. Information on these aspects and much more besides is contained within our welcome info pack. We welcome constructive feedback from guests, however in this instance we feel your comments are unfair. We hope you enjoyed your holiday and the delights that Cornwall has to offer. Property Owner

  • "Well presented cottage in a very attractive village."

Good location for exploring the Falmouth area and easily accessed from the main roads into Cornwall. Would recommend for max of 2 adults and a child plus 1 dog due to size of 2nd bedroom and only one bathroom. It was perfect for us with a labrador who enjoyed sleeping in the rear porch area and the local walks into Stithians.
