Friendly owners who left a nice touch of scones, clotted cream & jam also as a doggie bone for our dog. Good location for exploring south Devon & North Cornwall. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

  • "The lodge was just what we were looking for this time for a dog-friendly stress free, relaxing Springtime getaway."

A pretty quiet spot with beautiful outlook, interesting visits nearby and just a few minutes into Tavistock for shops and cafes. The lodge itself was immaculately presented, super clean, nicely furnished with a well designed and spacious layout. Tiniest gripes … an over firm mattress for us (but nice to have a king size bed). Had to go to the park in Tavistock to let our dog have a decent runaround (but also just a 2 minute drive to get to a lovely walk up the hill to Brentor church with stunning scenery - highly recommended). Overall definitely 5 stars from us.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review - we value comments as we always strive for improvements. Property Owner

Lovely welcome girfts on arrival. Lovely touches in every room. Am loving the new blinds to the bedrooms and lovely new sofa. Cant wait to come back again to get away from a stressful job for some peace and quiet.

Great location, very quiet setting. Weather wasnt great but it was november. I didnt care because i knew i was coming to a lovely home from home and knew i could relax. • "Lovely lodge and lots of lovely extras such as cake, milk, juice and biscuits on arrival."

Everything is provided so don’t need anything except your food. Unfortunately we had some bad weather which made sleeping abit hard as very windy and trees right behind the lodge were very noisy which is nothing the owners can do about. Would have preferred some blinds in the bedrooms as otherwise you have to keep the curtains closed to get dressed etc as others lodges next door.

  • "We booked your lodge very last minute due to leaving a very unclean holiday cottage earlier that day."

Your lodge was immaculate, attention to detail was brilliant. We would definitely stay again & recommend your lodge to everyone. It was beautiful, in a perfect setting. The scones, jam, cream, apple juice & biscuits were a lovely touch. Thank you so much for making the remainder of our holiday away so special.

  • "What a wonderfully equipped lodge."

Everything one could think of so like home from home. Thank you for the cake, milk and juice so thoughtful. Even a biscuit for the dog. Hopefully we left it as neat and tidy as we found it. We did have difficulty opening the key box though and had to get the help of our food delivery driver. The only disappointment but nothing to do withe lodge was not being able to walk my dog and allow her some space without getting in the car.

The whole home was immaculate and there was everything that we could possibly need and more. Very quiet and close to our friends in Tavistock and some lovely NT properties. Lovely and very welcome cream tea, thank you. We are both bad sleepers , but must say that the bed was perfect for us and we had the best sleeps for ages. • "Beautiful lodge with everything you could possibly need."

Our personal preference would have been to have a softer mattress on bed as mattreses too firm for us. Also, would have preferred to have had blinds at windows for more privacy as location of other lodges on site meant that you could see directly into other lodges when curtains open and therefore on most days, even when weather was lovely we had to have curtains closed which was a shame as the views were lovely. Nice little touches like scones, jam, clotted cream & apple juice on arrival. Very clean. Quiet location. Friendly people.

So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in our lodge. Thank you for your comments too. We do actually have two sofas on back order as it happens as we too felt they ought to be updated - only sorry they haven't arrived yet. Would love to have you back. Many thanks Property Owner
