The property

A quirky shepherd's hut nestled on 3.5 acres of land just outside of Tideford in Cornwall.

This charming property is the perfect place for a romantic getaway with your loved one, with notable stargazing opportunities.

The hut itself has a lovely outlook over the countryside and features a wildlife pond, picnic bench and additional outdoor seating, perfect for a summer BBQ.

Inside the hut you will find a glass roof, which is perfect for stargazing and where the property lends it's name from.

Inside the property you will find a dining area for two, which then transforms into a double bed in the evening.

There is a small country-style kitchen contained in the hut, with a two-ring induction hob and other modern appliances.

Behind the kitchen, tucked in the corner of the hut, there is a woodburner, making it cosy during the off-season months.

You will also find a fitted wardrobe with hanging space and additional storage, perfect for keeping your hut nice and tidy during your stay.

The bathroom is modern and includes a WC, basin and self-contained electric shower.

The hut also includes the benefits of allowing one small dog, as well as off-road parking to the back of the property.

If you can tear yourself away from this idyllic base, one mile will bring you to the local pub, or venture further afield to the town of Saltash, where you will be delighted by the selection of traditional pubs and shops that await you.

A short drive will bring you to the port city of Plymouth, where you can spend some time at the National Marine Aquarium and Plymouth Hoe, where you can soak up the picturesque views.

Alternatively, venture down to the coast and laze on the glorious sands or further afield is the majestic Bodmin Moor, where you will find miles of walk amidst breath-taking scenery.

Stargazer is a quaint retreat for a unique experience with your loved one.

About the location

SALTASH

Plymouth 6 miles; Liskeard 14 miles.

Saltash is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, Brunel’s masterpiece of engineering taking people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Saltash retains much of its old Cornish charm with narrow streets rising steeply from the banks of the river, and plenty of shops and interesting inns. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. Saltash offers some beautiful walks along the Tamar, and is only a five minute drive from Plymouth, with a plenty to occupy visitors including the historic Barbican quayside area with cafes, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. A perfect base for exploring the area along the beautiful River Tamar.
