  • "This is a beautiful house in a great location just off the main street in Tintagel but with rural views."

The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch and everything was extremely clean. Kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were very well equipped and ideal for us. We would love to stay again some time (maybe without storms this time!) Highly recommended

Located in the centre of Tintagel but hidden away for peace and relaxation. It had everything you would need and the owners left a lovely welcome pack. Would highly recommend this stunning holiday house.

The house is modern, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is a quite location but in the heart of Tintagel, shops and pubs are a 2 minute walk away. Thank You again for a lovely holiday, we would defiantly stay again in the future. Many Thanks Chris & Family

  • "Super modern well equiped house with the best of rural and town."

Rural views from the rear, little one loved saying good morning to sheep in the morning, and Tintagel town facilities round the corner. The house very clean. We all enjoyed our week stay in your lovely house, thank you.

  • "A modern spacious property right in the centre of Tintagel with plenty of parking and great views across the fields to the sea."

A couple of things need improving/repairing, we listed all these in the book in the property. We were unhappy that when we asked to extend our stay by a couple of days, one of your team contacted the owner, then called me back to say it was available and a price was quoted of £141 per extra day that we agreed on. When I called back to pay the extra amount I was told I now had to pay an additional £30 as an ‘admin fee’. As we wanted to extend our stay we paid the originally agreed extra daily charge and the additional £30. As a result of this we wouldn’t use Sykes Cottages again.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The house is modern with plenty of space and equipment. We had everything we needed with the added bonus that the house is so close to the Main Street with access to the local amenities (which the pictures don’t give justice to.) This house was great for our family of 5, we would definitely go back.

  • "We had a fabulous stay here."

The house is immaculate, modern and really well equipped. We stayed as two families and there was plenty of room to socialise together, or apart. The advert needs some tweaking as after booking we were advised that our dog would not be allowed on the furniture and after we arrived the information at the house then explained that dogs were also not allowed upstairs. This wasn’t a problem, but it should be clear at the time of booking. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. Although not noted in each listing, this is in the booking terms and conditions, and is commonplace across most UK holiday lets. Sorry that you felt this was not communicated appropriately. - Best wishes, The Owner Relations Team. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Amal Anpras."

This is a new property, which has been very thoughtfully and tastefully fitted out by the owners. Everything is here that you’ll possibly need for a week’s stay, all working and all very clean! Property is in the heart of Tintagel so handy for pubs / food. Great walks just minutes away. Couldn’t fault it, hopefully we’ll be back.

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the SW Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and in 2.5 miles is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a 40-minute drive.
