On arrival the parking space was easy to find and the key very easy to get our hands on. The cottage was immaculately clean and looked high quality. On occasions where we needed to contact the owner they were easily contactable and very friendly. We were a bit worried about there not being blinds/curtains downstairs as per previous comments but this wasn't an issue at all. It would be nicer to have a larger screen TV and a smarter one (for Netflix for example) but wasn't a big issue. The USP for this cottage has to be the location. It's slap bang in the middle of Tintagel in close proximity to tourist attractions, the coastline and numerous bars / restaurants. I'd definitely return and recommend. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The property

Moorings, a two storey end of Terrace cottage, is set in the heart of Tintagel, a village world famous for its history, myths and scenery.

This delightful holiday home is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the village, to ensure a peaceful stay.

The property has been lovingly refurbished this year by its new owner whilst still maintaining traditional character features.

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 6 miles; Wadebridge 12 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the SW Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and in 2.5 miles is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow and the Camel Estuary are all within a 40-minute drive.
