  • "Very friendly, welcoming owner."

Lovely hamper on arrival. Owner text on the day of travelling to Tor Barn to welcome us and ask if we would like the hot tub warming, which was a lovely gesture. Beautiful barn conversion, tastefully decorated. Very clean. Owner was very helpful. Our only negative was the private road leading to the barn which is in a terrible state of repair. The road/lane needs attention to prevent damage to visitors vehicles. Otherwise a lovely relaxing holiday with beautiful surroundings.

  • "A lovely location in the Cornish country side about 30 mins from port Isaac and padstow."

Really private and peaceful. Fully equipped kitchen was great and living space and hot tub was lovely to relax in after a day of exploring. Lovely thoughtful welcome package when we arrived and friendly family hosts. Thanks for a great stay.

  • "Liza and Rich were the perfect hosts, right from the start they tried to anticipate and meet our needs, often exceeding them."

On arrival the hot tub was warm and welcoming after our 5.5hrs journey and we had a lovely welcome hamper to help us settle in. The accommodation is lovely and quaint, with more than enough space for a couple staying for a while. We used Tor Barn as a base to explore Cornwall, with most popular parts of North Cornwall within one hours drive i.e. Port Isaac (Doc Martin's Port Wen), Bude, Newquay, St Austell, Truro and the Eden Project, slightly further was St Ives and Carbis Bay. Not enough time to do much more than this in a week, but we definitely got around. Most evenings when we returned the Hot Tub was ready and waiting for us, on the evenings when it wasn't we simply lit the fire and waited for it to heat up, the log box magically never got empty! The drive up the Tor is a little narrow in parts, especially if you drive a larger vehicle, if you follow the instructions sent by Liza and Rich, you can't go wrong, if you follow the Sat Nav beware, the lanes are really tight and narrow, not built for modern 4X4's or wide bodied vehicles, but a recently updated Sar Nav will get you 99% of the way! We wish Liza, Rich and Family every success with their venture.
