  • "The property was fine - good space for two people and good location if not on the beach - easy drive to many."

The property could use a bit of care and attention. A lot of the fittings have gone rusty from the salt air - not unusual but would be better to change them out so the property looks more cared for. Also the little deck was in need of repair and the garden and outside pots were pretty sad and uncared for. Also would be nice to have a smart TV in the property or let people now so they can bring their own sticks.

  • "A lovely cottage in a lovely location, close to beautiful beaches."

A very enjoyable stay. Watching the sunset from the terrace was wonderful.

Yes - We are very lucky to get a view of those great sunsets over a distant view of the sea. Glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay and thanks so much for finding the time to leave such lovely feedback! Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage that had everything we needed."

So peaceful and quiet just what we needed. Close to 7 beaches and central for all visits. A fantastic base extremely comfy. Useful information included which helped tremendously. Would return when we’re back in Cornwall. Hamlin and Trevone beach beautiful for peaceful sunbathing Point of interest - the tree in front of the entrance needs pruning as we had to continuously bend when approaching the steps

  • "Extremely clean but very compact."

More kitchen equipment is needed. Would suggest a couple of sun loungers for clients use plus although no washing machine it could do with a drying area for beach towels and hand washed items. Good quality bedding and a comfy bed. Clearer advice on rubbish disposal would be really helpful. Over all a good experience.

Thanks for your feedback - we are glad you had a good experience. We are sorry that you found limited kitchen equipment on this occasion. Some equipment had evidently been moved through to the neighbouring property in the weeks before when they had been rented together and not returned. We will ensure this is specifically checked for future bookings. We will endeavour to provide better instructions for rubbish disposal, and place a couple of loungers and a drying rack in the shed! • "Booked this with Woodlands close, as have a large family group."

Worked really well. Lovely clean, modern, well equipped lodge.

Thanks for your feedback and lovely review. Gwedhen is indeed a lovely little lodge when taken and combined with a family group in Woodlands, as is our other lodge Prysken. Both lodges are equally great as standalone rentals for couples/friends wanting to explore this area of outstanding beauty, Padstow and it’s culinary gems, and walking the coast path or enjoying the many nearby beaches. We hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "Wouldn't it be more convenient for your guests if you printed the wifi password in the accompanying manual in the property rather than have to make a call?"

Also, you leave various instructions regarding rubbish collection and recycling etc, but you fail to say when it will be collected or where it will be collected from. Some bags were hanging of the fence with some recycling products in them but they were not emptied in the time we were there so it just became a dumping ground for everyone because there were no clear instructions. Also the decking and patio table at "Gwedhen" were filthy and need a good jet washing, and the surrounding deck rails have woodworm!

Thanks for your feedback which we found very useful. This was our very first week of rental and we immediately addressed the concerns you raised. The Wi-Fi password is provided clearly and the deck has been spruced up and repainted. Property Owner
