  • "Great find - look no further!"

We were lucky enough to book Woodlands Close over the New Year and we weren't disappointed! In fact I would say the photos, whilst are good, do not do the property full justice and we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the place! Also location is great for Padstow and you can easily walk back with only a short stretch being without pavement. Owners/house keepers incredibly responsive and the whole place is very well equipped. Would highly recommend and return.

Thank you for your lovely review. Its always nice to welcome guests who enjoy and appreciate the house. Thanks for the advice on the photos, we will aim to upload some more to do the property justice. Its well over 3000 square feet, so plenty of space for everyone! We would love to welcome you back in the summer. Property Owner

  • "We loved staying here - a great home with two families sharing with plenty of space to spread out but also cosy enough to get together at meal times and enjoying an evening of games or watching TV."

Our two families will definitely be booking again. So convenient for Padstow and the surrounding area.

Really pleased that you experienced how the property enables two or three families to come together in a beautiful house. If you need even more space in the future, please remember that we offer a discount for taking the other two linked properties, Gwedhen and Prysken at the same time and we have now added a hot tub, pool table and table football for the kids. • "Isn’t walking distance from beach, walks include main roads."

The garden should be separate from the other properties.

Many thanks for taking the trouble to provide feed back. We are glad that you were pleased by the comfort, cleanliness and facilities but sorry about your feelings regarding the accuracy of the listing regarding proximity to the beach. The position of the property is clearly and accurately shown on the Sykes map. We and most of our guests find it the perfect balance between walking into padstow (15 mins downhill) and short drives to 7 great beaches (less than 5 mins drive to Harlyn and Trevone). It is also possible to walk to Trevone beach (and our guests and ourselves regularly do - it’s a 25 minute walk mainly across farm tracks with great views) but probably not best for young children/buggies due to the short 200m stretch on the Padstow road. But we take on board your feedback and we have revised the listing to clarify this for future guests as well as making it clear that the main garden is only for the use of guests of the large woodlands property. • "Great, spacious house, well equipped, lovely modern decor."

Lots of kitchen equipment and crockery etc. Lovely bedrooms and living space. Utility room and dog room, worked really well for families with dogs, and easy to keep them out of carpeted areas and upstairs. Highly recommend.

Really glad you enjoyed staying here - thanks for your lovely feedback! Would love to see you again in the future Property Owner

The property

Nestled a short 5 minute drive or a beautiful 25 minute walk (after the first 200m on the main road) from the picturesque coastline of Cornwall, on the outskirts of the popular town of Padstow, rests this remarkable holiday home, Woodlands Close. Boasting a marvellous contemporary interior and comfortably sleeping ten, Woodlands Close is an idyllic base for your next group celebration to this delightful part of the country. Ample off-road parking greets you upon arrival, leading you along the pathway and over the threshold, into a light and airy open-plan living space, beautifully-appointed with wooden flooring and a rustic woodburning stove, complimented by the stylish design of the contemporary kitchen. Share a bottle of wine with the chef at the breakfast bar as they rustle up some tasty treats, gathering your loved ones around the grand dining table to serve, or if you're lucky enough to experience the warmer weather, step outside to the patio where you can indulge in a spot of alfresco dining with far reaching views across the surrounding farmland. Settle in for the evening with a seat on the sumptuous sofas in the separate living room for a movie marathon, enveloping the room with the warmth of the woodburning stove, or split up and enjoy a spot of television with the girls in the open-plan sociable space. Prepare for bed with an invigorating rinse in the spacious walk-in shower, conveniently located on the ground-floor, ideal for guests with limited mobility, before resting your head in either of the two neighbouring bedrooms, with the choice between a snug twin (converted on advance request to a superking), or a charming double, benefiting from it's own en-suite. Climb the stairs where you'll find two additional bedrooms, a beautifully-presented double along with a fabulous superking master suite, boasting a contemporary en-suite bathroom and stylish walk-in wardrobe as well as access to a private terrace, where you can enjoy an intimate escape with your significant other under the canopy of the stars before bed. Spend the evenings relaxing in the beautiful hot tub, enjoying views of the rolling hills and distance sea views.

Completing the property is a handy utility room, fit with a washing machine and tumble dryer to assist in refreshing your wardrobe after a day full of adventure. Note: Woodlands Close can also be booked with Prysken (1080136), a detached holiday lodge within its grounds - together they would accommodate 10 adults.

Prysken can not currently be booked independently by other groups - however, if not taken with Woodlands please be advised that it may be occupied by owner’s family for the purposes of maintenance.

In this event the garden remains exclusively for the use of Woodlands Close guests. Woodlands Close and Prysken can also be booked with Gwedhen (1080137) giving a potential maximum of 12 guests.

Gwedhen may be booked separately by other guests, having its own separate area of garden and decking.

Taking all three properties ensures exclusive use of the entire property for those desiring complete privacy for larger groups.

We are pleased to offer a 50 percent discount on the Gwedhen price (subject to availability) for any party taking all three properties (offer must be requested within 7 days of the original Woodlands Close booking).
