The property

An exquisite converted barn within five miles of stunning beaches and fishing villages on the north Cornish coast.

Ruan Barn nestles in the hamlet of Treburgett, in a tranquil countryside setting in the grounds of the owner's home and neighbouring dairy farm.

The quintessential Cornish fishing village of Port Isaac is a stunner with enigmatic harbour, galleries, traditional inns and celebrity chef Nathan Outlaw's 'Fish Kitchen', plus other eateries, pasty parlours and tea rooms.

Wander past TV 'Doc Martin's house as you ramble the South West Coast Path, promising far reaching sea vistas.

The very chic resort of Rock with big sandy beach is a favoured destination.

A quick scoot across the Camel Estuary on the passenger ferry to Padstow provides the perfect opportunity to visit one of Rick Stein's restaurants or indulge in some retail therapy around the quay.

Bodmin, the one-time County Town of Cornwall with its narrow streets, shops and pubs, is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer. The outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches and the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast are both 15 miles away while on the edge of town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. The popular Camel Trail for cyclists and walkers also winds its way through the town on its journey to the sea at Padstow. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. Also within easy reach and ideal for a fun-filled day out, guests can visit Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships, The Eden Project and Lostwithiel. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
