We rent three or four per year and thought Marbeachow was very good value for money and the facilities and space inside and out were very good. Six people stayed and all enjoyed it. Thank you.

  • "Lovely stay."

Good sized accommodation. Very comfortable. Great location. We had a great stay. The only thing that would improve this place as it sleeps 7 people would be a four slice toaster and a slow cooker, however we would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to friends and family.

Thank you for letting us know you enjoyed your stay so much. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The property is very basically equipped."

Hand soap in every bathroom should be a MUST, this was disappointing. As was the minimum amount of very thin loo roll. A welcome hamper makes a huge difference, having driven several hours, a pint of milk, bread and butter would have been appreciated. The property has maintenance issues; several taps need washers replacing, utility hot tap doesn’t even work. Fridge door needs oiling(?). There were no bags provided for recycling. The property had a lot of cobwebs, perhaps it hadn’t been rented out for a while? Better board/card games would be great too! It served the purpose but little touches go a long way and don’t cost the earth.

Thank you for taking time to provide feedback on your stay. We are sorry if there was insufficient toilet paper and that there was no hand soap available for you. We will raise this with the cleaning company as well as the issues with the cobwebs. Thank you for highlighting the problems with the taps, we have now passed this to our maintenance team. • "The property was a great size and was well situated for trips to the beach, Falmouth and St Ives."

The facilities were good although the oven seal was broken and the fridge door didn't shut properly when large milk was stored in the door. Also there was no frying pan and only 1 baking sheet which wasn't enough for a party of 6. Loved the outdoor space and the power showers were excellent. Very comfy property in the location we wanted and a wonderful holiday spent with the family.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Marbeachow. Thank you for highlighting the problem with the oven door and the lack of a frying pan; we will look at rectifying this with the owner. • "We enjoyed our stay."

The house was in a nice, quiet location. It was. clean and spacious, had plenty of hot water, nice showers and it was great to have a washing machine. The courtyard was pleasant to sit in when it was sunny. Lovely crisp bedding and soft towels were provided (with a fresh linen drop after the first week appreciated). A few notes: The house is described as being a short stroll to the beach, which is misleading, it is actually quite far. There are no wardrobes in bedrooms 2 and 3 which was disappointing, just a couple of hangers (although there are chests of drawers in both rooms). A radio would have been handy or an extra TV (or even just a larger TV considering how many people the house can sleep). The mattress in the main bedroom is very firm, maybe a topper could be provided? The smaller couch in the lounge also needs extra cushioning. The kitchen was quite well equipped although a baking tray or two and a few more glasses are needed. We have experienced self catering accommodation in Cornwall for many years and have got accustomed to little touches that make somewhere feel special and welcoming but feel these were lacking here, which is a shame as it is a lovely house in a beautiful part of the world.

Thank you for your comments on Marbeachow. We will look into the couple of items that you have raised. John Bray Cornish Holidays Property Owner

The beach was only a 5 minute drive. Only thing the house was lacking was a guest book to add recomendations for things to do or places to eat.

  • "The property was great."

This would be a 5* review throughout, if not for the following - John Bray called me to confirm if I was having any issues whilst on the holiday. I couldn't pick up the phone at the time and there was limited phone signal in the property. They then emailed shortly after. I replied with 3 issues. None of which they did anything to rectify, acknowledge or respond. I appreciate the issues were minor, but still what is the point in going to the effort of contacting me on holiday if they are actually not interested in fixing the issues in the first place? Couple of additional suggestions - there is Wifi at the property (the descriptions online did at one stage suggest there isn't any) and there is little/no phone signal at the house. Perhaps worth mentioning in the forward information to those staying.

Thank you for taking the time to give us some feedback on you stay and we are delighted that you thought the property was great. We are really sorry that we never responded to your email. Thank you for letting us know about the Wi-Fi we will make sure this is updated. We look forward to welcoming you back. John Bray on behalf of the owners. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house which was more than adequate for us all."

Location within easy reach of beaches etc. The house is in need of some general maintenance ie, ensuite shower rail needs securing to stop it falling out of holder. Locks on bathroom doors, the taps just dribble water and you need to keep turning to get water to come out and then when you turn off you have to double check because the water can continue to trickle out. The leg on clothes airer is cellotaped so could do with replacing. The settee by the patio door needs new cushions. You are actually sitting on a piece of wood! The floorboards in the main bedroom and ensuite creeked excessively when walked on . So much so they could easily wake someone else up in the room when sleeping. Lastly, the cleaner could do a better job and dust off skirting in ensuite, cobwebs from top of radiator, dust of bed frames/shelves etc. Liked the dishwasher and washing machine tablets that were left for our use. All in all though this didnt spoil our stay and would stay there again. If nobody highlights the issues the home owner cannot rectify them and put right.

Thank you for your feedback, this will be passed on. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday and hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

Lovely comfortable beds and linen. We loved the proximity to the bus stop, pub and brewery. Wonderful area with magnificent scenery. Would have loved a radio or a Bluetooth speaker in the kitchen but that is a very minor point. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Thank you for your review and delighted that you liked both the house and location …and we will get that radio for the kitchen! Property Owner
