  • "It was a short stay for the family to celebrate birthdays."

We had a great time visiting some places we haven't seen in 53 years !living in Cornwall. Rockways is a lovely place to stay. It was very clean, spacious and had lots of natural light. The beds were very comfy and the facilities provided everything we needed. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the property, and that it suited your needs. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The bed are hard, not to our liking, I know others prefer a harder bed."

The settees are OK the table and chair were very good. The ability to lift hot plates and pans etc over to the table from the worktop was very good as you didn’t need to carry hot food or drinks through doors.

  • "Lovely comfortable bungalow in a good location handy for beaches."

It was let down by the overgrown front garden and driveway which made it look unloved. A welcome pack would also be useful, as we had no milk when we arrived, and one toilet roll for the week was not adequate. However, we had a lovely week, helped by the good weather and would book again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so sorry to hear about the front garden – we haven’t been able to come down ourselves for a while, but we will contact the gardener and ask if the front garden can be cut back as soon as possible. We hope you enjoyed your stay. The owners. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely holiday staying at Rockways."

The place was very clean and tidy, had everything we needed. The only recommendation would be to try and secure the front garden!! Our dog got out a couple of times! maybe some comfy garden furniture would be a good idea especially in the back garden, other than those minor details we loved it and wished we could have stayed longer.. the Pityme pub around the corner was also an added bonus.

  • "We were very pleased with the cottage, great location, quiet, very clean throughout and the bedding."

The kitchen was fully equipped. We loved the little extras too, salt and pepper, cooking oil etc. The 2 garden areas were peaceful. We were warned the garden might not be secure and she did get out in the RHS of the courtyard but otherwise it was. The only very minor criticism was that the garden could be tidied up a little bit but that didn’t affect our enjoyment at all. It was a great bungalow, do thank the owner. It was also very central for Padstow and Rock. We will hopefully go back to it one day!

  • "We have just returned from a weeks stay and have had a fabulous time."

The property is ideally situated for Rock and Padstow (by the great ferry service) and the Pityme Inn and the surrounding areas. It is super well equipped and very comfortable. Our only concern was that our dog did manage a couple of escapes via the front garden hedge, but not withstanding that we would highly recommend this gem of a property

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback with us. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Rockways and made the most of the beautiful surrounding areas and comfortable property. We look forward to welcoming you back hopefully soon. • "This is the second time in 7 months we have stayed at Rockways."

We loved it the first time and this time once again didn't disappoint. So many facilities and so much space. The thing that really impressed us was that in our initial reviews we commented on a few things that we felt could improve comfort for humans and safety for furbabies and these things have been addressed. We will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future. We love it.

We are so pleased that you are continuing to enjoy Cornwall and Rockways as much as we do. We also really appreciate your feedback and suggestions for improvement. Many thanks. Property Owner

  • "This is an absolutely lovely bungalow, thank you for allowing others to enjoy it."

.. we would certainly book again. Positives ...The 2 gardens have different perspectives which was beautiful. The dog loved trotting around both. (The Pityme pub, shop and restaurant are dog friendly and within very short walking distance). The seating in the living room was very comfortable, dining room table was nice and bedding was very good quality. Someone has previously commented about the hard beds and the mattress toppers certainly appear make a difference as we all slept well. Lots of kitchenware and games supplied if wanted. Downsides.... (please don't think these make for a troubled holiday) The seating area out of the gravel garden could do with updating and would be more comfortable if the seats were individual rather than a picnic bench set up. There are no seats at all in the lovely lawned garden which was really disappointing, this would have been really nice as this area is much bigger than the gravel garden. The bigger bedroom could do with a dressing table and chair, also a mirror as none of these are available. The only thing that we feel definitely needs addressing for dog owners is that there is an area at the back of the gravel garden near the utility room between the neighbour's front garden where an inquisitive dog could potentially get through, we just moved the 3 black bins across to stop our furbaby getting through which may not suffice for little dogs, that being said it wouldn't affect us booking again.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are so glad you enjoyed the property and your holiday. We have just started letting out Rockways and we really appreciate your suggestions - we will look to implement them over the next few months. Thank you, The owner Property Owner
