  • "The Coach House was a beautiful place to stay in an equally beautiful setting."

Every aspect had been considered and catered for, ensuring guests had an extremely comfortable stay. Roger, the host was so welcoming and a huge bonus was his provision of home cooked meals on request. We enjoyed two beautifully presented, delicious evening meals.

Even the ability to dine in now with a meal cooked by the wonderful hosts. Nothing is forgotten and its a sad Friday when time comes to drive away. Have no hesitation in recommending Pendower House.

  • "We returned to the Coach House after a very relaxing stay of 10 days in the Spring of last year just as restrictions for Covid were easing."

We received a very warm welcome and enjoyed very peaceful surroundings close to the sea. We were delighted to discover that there was a dine in option and we ordered dinners for our last two evenings there which was a great success. We explored further afield this time on the north coast too and hope to be able to return. The Coach House is very comfortable and cosy and in a very sheltered position. There is a lovely garden.

The directions to the property were excellent and much appreciated. The property is beautifully designed and appointed, and sits in a secluded, quiet spot within a short walk of the stunning coastline and South Coastal Path. We made use of the dining in facility, which we greatly enjoyed, and the opportunity to have a relaxing massage. Fowey is a short ferry ride away and makes for a lovely introduction to the area.

Fully equipped with great selection of kitchen pots and utensils and everywhere super clean, made cooking very easy. Sumptuous comfortable furnishings and so stylish. And practical too - well done! And a fabulous shower room with heated floor - better than at home! Lovely gardens and access to the fields at the rear of the property with great views. Ian and Roger made us feel very welcome and were really helpful about places to visit. Make sure you visit the Duchy Garden Centre! And head over to Fowey via the foot ferry for a great holiday experience. I’d really recommend this wonderful place to stay - we will be returning.

  • "I am loathe to praise too much as I know it will mean it is far harder to book a stay at The Coach House."

....having said that! It was wonderful! Although not attached to the main house it is next door, but the owner does not intrude unless asked. It is reached down leafy secluded lanes and has a lovely private garden beautifully kept which you can enjoy. It literally is a home...beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated as if by an interior designer. I can safely say I have never had such a comfortable bed on holiday! The welcome pack is very thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble...although we did not need to ask for anything it was all there. I am hoping to return soon!

Our dog Beau loved his walks in the lovely grounds every day and as we visited in February 20 we now need to see the gardens in all the other seasons! Really close to Polruan and Fowey and our favourite days out were to visiting the beach at Lansallos and walking the coastal path and seeing the lovely village of Lerryn and walking through the woods there.
