Add to this the extraordinary charm, talent and attention to detail your hosts inconspicuously provide. It is rare to be offered the sort of culinary gastronomic epicurean delights that Roger produces with such effortless ease and aplomb. You will, we believe, like so many before us, return, to this wonderful oasis of peace. So it remains, we hope, to congratulate you on finding and selecting this exquisite Coach House. A warm welcome on arrival and even a cake baked and left for us as well. Inside everything is spotless and well appointed - there really isn’t anything that has been left out. There is even the opportunity to dine in on an evening which is lovely especially on a chilly evening. Sad to leave but I know I’ll be back at somepoint to once again enjoy The Coach House.

The accommodation was very comfortable and despite variable weather we felt very cosy. Facilities were excellent, great shower, comfy bed etc. The highlight were the three, 3 course meals our hosts offered. We originally ordered one but it was so good... Scenery amazing, Lantic Bay a short walk away and Fowey, Looe, Polperro all interesting. There is also a large garden at the accommodation. Coach House is highly recommended.

Location, facilities and cleanliness absolutely perfect and the hosts Roger and Ian really are the nicest people you could ever meet! We loved our chats and their recommendations whenever we bumped into them in the grounds. The home-made cake, home-grown tomatoes, local eggs and other items left for us were wonderful. Our Cocker Spaniel was made so welcome and she settled well very quickly. She loved all the fields and the nearby coastal walks. It really is the perfect location for visiting so many wonderful places such as Looe, Fowey, Mevagissey, Polperro, Charlestown, to name but a few. There are also many fabulous dog walks in the area. Roger, Ian and their lovely gardener have plenty of recommendations including the best pasties in the area - Liddicoat Butchers in Lostwithiel, wonderful! We would not hesitate to come back here! Could do with a hoover only had a soft broom a dustpan and a broken brush, dusty and black mold on the window frames not really what I would call 5 star

I am very surprised by your review especially since I have recently been awarded a certificate for having achieved 100% satisfaction from all our guest reviews during the entire full months of July , August and September this year . I always strive to maintain extremely high standards and it was no different for your stay. Indeed , I note you make no reference or comment to the Christmas Door Wreath, Christmas Decorations , table crackers, Christmas Hamper and festive chocolates and bowls of fruit provided for your stay in addition to our normal welcome grocery pack of items including a home baked cake. If all you needed was a "hoover " then that could easily have been provided as I was present on site every day during your stay and indeed said to you to only ask if there was anything you need .I am sorry that this obviously spoiled your holiday and caused you to give me such a low figured review .I can only try harder in 2023 to maintain the 5 star rating. A wonderful holiday home for a couple and pooch. With the ferry to Fowey just down the road this is an even better location than you might think for visiting the wider area. But equally fab if you want to stay local. The Coach House is beautifully designed. Testament to Roger’s earlier career and equally comfortable and well equipped. Lots of garden space for the holidaymaker too so you can sit in the sun for every meal. We took advantage of Roger’s additional offer of cooking a meal…delicious. Your host balances being very available with being respectful and un-intrusive. If, like us, you have a crazy sat-nav, ignore it as we didn’t get as far as the point Roger’s very handy directions kicked in and came all the way from Looe on the tiniest of one-track roads. • "The accommodation was beautifully furnished and decorated."

There was an excellent rainfall shower and an abundance of piping hot water. The only minor thing I would change would be a blind to the sky light in the bedroom as the light woke me up at dawn, however this window also meant we had a great view of the stars! The host Roger was very amiable and helpful and left a lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers in the accommodation. Perfect if you want a get away from it break.

  • "Roger - the owner - was so helpful and could not do enough to help make our stay as enjoyable as it was."

The weather was marvellous which was a great factor in making it so good as we had our dog. He loved every minute of it and Roger even walked him for us when we were delayed due to unforseen circumstances. Wherever we went Roger was a always on hand to give recommendations which certainly helps on a week only visit. The accommodation was perfect. Would certainly consider returning as a part of England we have not really explored.

  • "We really enjoyed ourselves from start to finish."

The Coach House was very tastefully furnished, immaculately clean and was set in lovely gardens. It had the added bonus of completely enclosed fields to the rear in which to let our border terrier Harry run free. Our host Roger was very attentive, informative and humorous and made us feel very at home. We would thoroughly recommend a visit!
