  • "Beautiful clean cottage in a lovely setting."

Great woodland walk down to the beach from the property. Plenty of places to visit. Be prepared to bring your own food as the nearest shops are a good car drive away down narrow lanes. Thank you for a enjoyable stay.

  • "A very comfortable cottage ideally placed for those who enjoy walking, swimming and a bit of peace and quiet."

Polperro is walkable for the fit, about an hour’s stroll Nice big garden for dog owners although not 100% secure for the more adventurous dogs We would definitely go back to the cottage again

  • "It was a lovely little cottage we have stayed at the one next door a few years ago."

Lovely countryside all around and walks. There were a few things which we mentioned in the visitors book for the owner to see, but otherwise a very lovely stay and our dog loved it too. I'm sure it's hard dealing with weather sometimes but would have been nice if back grass had been shorter.

  • "Lovely quirky cottage in a very peaceful setting."

Warm and welcoming and very clean. Lovely large garden that would be great in warmer weather. Ideally located for the coastal path to walk to Looe, Polperro or Polruan and a friendly cheap bus service to bring you back after a few well deserved pints. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

  • "Rose Cottage is a lovely place which, I believe, is over 300 years old and, consequently, has very quirky floors and low beamed ceilings."

So anyone tall needs to be aware, for us it was perfect. We arrived to a spotlessly clean cottage which had everything we needed (that’s not to say a dishwasher wouldn’t have been welcomed!!). Charlie, our 16 month old Labrador, loved the enclosed garden and the walk to the beach and back. The only important thing to remind people is to make sure you have all the supplies you need before going back in the evenings, it’s a 5 mile round trip to the nearest shop and pub! We would definitely return.

Thankyou for your comments. I am glad you would like to come back. Property Owner

Garden at number two is large but still private that gives you sun all day . Area , quiet and friendly, just make sure you have all you’re groceries and drinks . Before coming back from you’re daily travel’s. Would recommend, couples all age’s and families, with or without pets

  • "We did have a lovely stay in the old cottage of which are are very thankful for, such a beautiful area too."

But I would just like to mention that when we arrived there we’re a lot of dog hair on the lounge rug, the double bed is very wobbly, the low ceilings in the lounge could do with a mention, my husbands tall n bumped his head numerous times. Also the parking is not for large cars either, we struggled to get ours off the road and out of the way of the neighbours cars.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback. Our housekeeper hoovers right through the cottage, so this must have been an oversight, for which we apologise. We will check the wobbly bed, although this hasn't been mentioned by any guests since. On the website it states that the property is 17th century with low ceilings and exposed beams. We are sorry that you experienced difficulties with the parking at the cottage, nobody previously has mentioned any difficulties and we have 4x4 vehicle which we have always managed to park within the space provided. Aside the above we are glad that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and were able to enjoy the local area too. Property Owner

  • "I think guests should be warned of the low ceilings - one member of our party is tall and couldn't stand up."

There was no salt, and totally inadequate toilet paper - I have never been in cottages before where these were not provided. Nor was there any washing powder etc - we normally expect these things when we stay in cottages. The bathroom door could do with a lock given it opens onto the lounge. Also a closed bin for females. Overall the cottage suited us well though and we had a great week as a party of 5 adults.

  • "A Lovely Cosy Cottage in a beautiful and quiet area of the country."

Plenty of great walks just on the doorstep. Everything in the cottage was perfect for my needs. A great place to spend a relaxing week away from the day to day routine. Nice comfy bed and spacious garden for the dog to investigate if she wasn't too tired from our walks to the beach and along the coastline,

  • "This cottage has everything going for it quiet peaceful and comfortable."

Great location for discovering Cornish gems and the walk down the footpath pass the beautiful church to the secluded cover is fantastic. The only problem we had was a not nice smell in the front room,we tried contacting the number in the pack provided 3 times but never answered. We ended up buying air fresheners The only other little issue is no recycling for glass so took all bottles home. Thanks for a nice stay.

  • "We found the cottage cosy, characterful and very good value."

Be aware that the original features include sloping floors and low ceilings, and the two front bedrooms share a window recess so the party wall doesn't go fully across; there is a small gap. This wasn't a problem for us and it still felt private enough. A recycling bin is now provided and the living room has been updated, including comfortable sofas. We enjoyed the smell of roses drifting in from the front garden. The back garden is large with a springy lawn and a dining table and chairs as well as a picnic table. The local area is idyllic. The nearest beach, a 15-20 minute walk down a beautiful path, is gorgeous, perfect for swimming and snorkelling, and never gets too busy.

  • "We really liked the property and garden."

Very old with lots of history. However the sofas were very uncomfortable , and after a full days walking out along the coast you really do need something better than that. Also the TV and the kettle could do with upgrading. The TV especially. But the most annoying thing...NO RECYCLING...at all. Just one bin for everything , food , plastic , metal , cardboard. I understand this maybe a council problem but it goes against the grain. Overall , loved it Gary Tink

  • "We had a good time."

A BBQ would have been nice. Warning for tall people about low ceiling would be helpful. Garden good for dogs but can get into next door garden. We did have an issue about not being able to unlock door from inside. Unable to contact caretaker to report or for assistance.
