  • "We had a lovely stay in this very comfortable well appointed cottage."

Flushing is a great little village. We loved exploring the area. Our favourite walk was along the estuary to Mylor and sitting outside Cafe Mylor over looking the harbour watching the world go by! The Royal Standard and the Waterside Restaurant in Flushing were really good places to eat in the evening. Our only comment would be that if steep slopes and lots of steps were a problem for you this would not be the place to stay. Also the internet was very flaky indeed and that too could be a problem especially if the weather was poor and you wanted to watch films etc Luckily for us we are reasonably fit and the weather was great!!

The cottage is very well equipped and furnished with attention to detail, the bed is wonderful. Only the internet does not always work properly.

  • "Very inaccurate description of property, totally over done, compared to the realty of it."

House very modern, clean and true to all the pictures, but a few things not quite true. 7 steps up to door, ok, but add on the other 35 plus, wherever you park, if you can find a parking place. Then it’s hunt the key safe, it’s not by the front door, as most places. Sea views?, yes if you lean over the wall from terrace. This might sound picky, but nowhere does it say not suitable for some people, the hill and steps. Sea view from bedroom? no, the back yard. Anyway I’m sure you get my drift, and yes there is WiFi, at a cost. Why do you people exaggerate your descriptions, just not right. Oh and there is no beach, just a slipway full of boats, and a restaurant which is a shed leant against an old fishing boat…the 2 pubs are good tho.

Well decorated and furniture to a high standard. We would certainly book again. Flushing is beautiful quant and peaceful so you where able to enjoy the relaxation of the holiday. Most certainly would recommend to anyone. The ferry to Falmouth is a must and a day at St Mawes. Cornwall is certainly very picturesque and a beautiful part of the country. Mr & Mrs Moody May 2021

  • "Difficult to find the cottage among its neighbours and not enough information about parking with on-road parking almost impossible contrary to what is suggested in the description."

Also there are far more steps up to the property than suggested regardless of where you manage to park. Several problems in the bathroom; heated towel rail wouldn't work and actually tripped an RCD when switched on. Also the shower, although very new, was very temperamental and difficult to switch on and off. The main light in the bathroom didn't work but luckily the shaver light was ok. However the cottage was very well presented and equipped. All furniture very clean and comfortable. The balcony was very nice and loved the rocking chairs.

  • "Riverside Cottage provided us with everything we needed for an enjoyable week’s holiday - once we found it!"

However, the instructions on locating the property, which is part of a small labyrinthine development, weren’t clear. We understand the reasons why there were no welcome letter, local guides nor instructions - however, we think these could have been emailed to us so we could have printed them off at home. However, these small issues aside we loved the house and appreciated the steps taken to make it Covid safe. It was spotlessly clean, felt newly decorated and carpeted and had been stripped of any unnecessary clutter - so we felt as safe and comfortable as possible. Flushing is a great little village with two pubs, local shop, waterside cafe and ferry across to Falmouth plus lots of walks easily accessible from the house. I’m sure we’ll return one day soon.

  • "We could not find any documentation or instructions in the property so we didn't know what to do with waste."

Presumably the normal pack had been removed sure to Covid, but a second pack could have been printed off for alternate weeks to allow natural decontamination, or even a link to a cloud drive containing the information electronically. Parking was a nightmare, and I suspect would have been much worse in peak season. Given the property isn't served by public transport visitors could be expected to have a car, and trying to find a space in a busy residential area nearby was difficult and not particularly respectful of the residents.
