  • "Very well maintained and equipped cottage, parking space a real boon for Flushing."

Tastefully decorated so that it felt like a home rather than a rental. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

  • "A beautiful holiday house."

Well maintained, nicely and tastefully furnished. A radio may be a good idea to install.

  • "Lovely cosy and stylish interior decor."

Very comfortable beds. It is probably the best equipped cottage we've stayed at in many years of visits to Cornwall. The separate loo downstairs was essential, but please can you fit a lock to avoid embarrassing moments! Homely touches were great, especially the pictures, art and local history books. The parking space is a brilliant bonus in Flushing. Even out of season the roadside parking is very busy. However, sadly we were disturbed at night with noise from the neighbours due to the thin wall between the houses upstairs (on the left as you look at the cottage). They weren't being loud, but we could hear them talking, coughing, snoring etc late at night and early morning. Not a complaint about the neighbours, just the wall. Maybe others wouldn't notice it. The garden was a damp yard area with no sun or outlook, and so we didn't use it. The upper area would be amazing if it could be restored. The notes for the cottage probably need updating as the pub is now the Harbour House which is fine dining (and excellent!), and the shop is much improved under new ownership. Adrian the property manager was helpful and responsive before/throughout our stay. Overall we had a lovely holiday and the improvement feedback is really just to make the cottage perfect! Thank you. Kitchen was very nice and clean etc. Also the bathroom was very nice too. Flushing is a lovely place and will be back at Widgeons Keel hopefully very soon.

  • "We thought Widgeon's Keel was a fabulous cottage."

It was extremely clean, well furnished and equipped, and with very comfortable beds. The location is great - just short walk to the pub, shop, harbour, and kids play area, and only a few minutes further to the beach. The parking space (tucked away in a very close alley) was useful.

Widgeons Keel was a great base, with everything we needed for a week away. Thank you

  • "Fantastic location, lovely property, spotlessly clean and great to have a parking space."

It's a shame there is only one full bathroom. The only negative was the frustration of not being able to control the heating. We had to message a couple of times after returning from wet walks, bit disappointed by that. Overall however a lovely, relaxing holiday.

  • "Highly recommend ."

Very cosy and comfortable. The village is pretty with lots of lovely walks and easy access to Falmouth on ferry. Beds are very comfortable and cottage is spotlessly clean everywhere. Heating was controlled through the owners phone so that was adjusted by contacting the manager- who was very helpful.

  • "Widgeons Keel is a lovely cottage."

It was very clean and super comfortable, conveniently located near the ferry for Falmouth and near some beautiful walks. We made good use of the log burner with the variable Cornish weather last week.

  • "Great house in a very good village."

Excellent location to discover the local areas and really good walks. Very good facilities and comfortable house. Was really great to have off the road parking. During our stay we requested some extra towels, this was dealt with very efficiently by the House manager Adrain. Possibly consider including more towels. Local pubs were great but a special mention for the Royal Standard, great food and hospitality.

  • "Brilliant cottage, wonderful area to stay - Flushing."

Pubs, shop, beach, Scenery all within easy reach and really lovely. Used our paddle board and snorkels. Are out. Didn’t need to travel really but did go out for adventure activities which were amazing and close by. The house pics don’t do it justice. The garden was great to have and BBQ. Parking space invaluable. Very nice touches in the house. Lovely and arty which was appreciated by my sculptor husband and myself a jeweller. Very nicely and well equipped.
