This was a lovely chalet as described only down fall was it wasn't that clean and although the bed was new it really wasn't comfortable

Lodge is mouldy, and smells musty, my chest wheezed the whole time. 3. Bedroom tv does not work 4. No Binliners, cleaning sponges etc 5 Repeated meter feeding is a real faff! Very basic for the price. Would not stay here again or recommend.

  • "The owners were very helpful in sorting a problem we had."

The property was the third we have stayed on on the site which are all owned by different people and it was the nicest by far. Much cleaner and better kept. However we noticed it had increased in price for next year by £308 for the same week which is unaffordable for us, which is a real shame. The plants around the property have grown since the picture on the website and they really did look beautiful when we were there.

The seal around the oven door was loose. I would say that at the moment I would not book again with SYKES it was our first time. It was our second week with you and you did not come up to the standard that was required regarding both cottage and the lodge

  • "Myself, partner and two daughters aged 5 and 8 stopped here for a week, the chalet was easy to find and close to parking."

Inside the chalet was clean, welcoming and had all the little home comforts plus more - washer dryer, dish washer, microwave, iron, hair dryer, TV in the sitting room and main bedroom etc. My daughters found their rooms comfortable and cosy, the games and toys where a lovely bonus especially the outdoor ones on a nice evening. Our bedroom was very comfortable too, we all slept very well. Location wise it was perfect, we had a few days of heavy rain but theres still so much to do on those days. We had a day out every day during our stay. Majority of things where around a 30min drive. Our stay and holiday in general exceeded all our expectations especially during the Covid19 situation. Unfortunately the on site shop or restaurant wasn't open for obvious reasons but it didn't cause an issue for us as the big tesco is only 10 minutes drive down into padstow. Once again, many thanks for providing such a beautiful and comfortable chalet, we hope to return again some time in the future.

  • "The site was lovely and clean, the restaurant serves good quality food at reasonable prices and the children's play area is well maintained and safe for all ages."

The shop stocks essential supplies. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The chalet that we stayed in was stunning; spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It was a little walk to the car but this was not a problem. The children had a wonderful time playing with their friends on the area close to the chalet and as it was away from the cars it was safe for them to do so. The holiday was reasonably priced for August and we were lucky enough to have good weather. The location of the park is great; many beaches within a 10 minute drive and also lots of local attractions. I would highly recommend Atlantic Bays.

  • "When describing property you need to make it clear that parking is not outside lodge, but in a parking area, as on reading description we believed that parking would be outside lodge, I counted 101 steps from lodge to carpark on a very wet grassed area, having to make a few trips back and forth with our luggage etc, I have recently had a knee replacement and my partner suffers with a bad back, luckily it did'nt rain all week otherwise we would have got very wet, suffice to say if I had known this we probably would'nt have booked this site."

However the lodge was very good, clean etc so top marks to owner. but you do need to give a clearer decription on this matter as information is very misleading.

  • "The facilities of the chalet and location of holiday park could not be faulted."

However upon arrival ,apparent mis-communication had led to the chalet not having been cleaned , following the departure of the previous guests. A call to the owner was responded to, in approx half an hour ,just as the cleaners had just arrived. A £10 refund was made and accepted, as after a 350 mile, and 5 hour journey, conversation on my phone between the owner and cleaner, I was not prepared to argue the point. The owner was insistent that the chalet was to be cleaned thoroughly, but we had already unpacked and stored groceries in the fridge, as not sure of any forthcoming response. I don’t think £10 was sufficient , I was on holiday , and not prepared to be the go between of owner and cleaners. A very disappointing start !

Could do with a list of where the electric meter is and where to turn on hot water.. Tried phoning Sykes and the owners when the electric went off and could get no reply so left one day early. We loved the cabin and it is very comfortable , has everything you could need supplied. Would defiantly recommend it .

Fridge not keeping food cold therefore had to throw food out. Otherwise the lodge was homely and comfortable. Very small patios and very close to other lodges. • "The chalet is lovely."

Home from with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped. The park was very quiet whilst we were there. There is no swimming pool but there is a large playground for children situated next to the restaurant and bar so you can keep an eye on the kids whilst having a drink on the terrace. There is also a large dog walking area. There is a small shop although it was closed a lot of the time. There was some building going on around the reception area which i assume will be finished in time for the start of the summer season. The food in the restaurant was nice. Not a lot in the immediate vacinity though not far to beach in car and padstow nearby.
