Merrington View offers four guests a tranquil base from which to enjoy one of the UK's favourite coastlines.

This Cornish lodge is perfect for two couples seeking a beachside break, with Porth Beach lying just a mile away, it's the perfect choice for a coastal retreat to Cornwall.

Step inside to find a lovely sitting room furnished with a sleek grey leather L-shape sofa with a grey armchair to match, along with a wall-mounted TV above the warming electric fire.

The dining area is perfectly placed before the large windows looking out on the park, while a stylish, neutral coloured kitchen houses all you need on a self catered stay behind glossy units with a small breakfast bar some someone to perch at while the dinner cooks.

The bathroom is something to behold with beautiful tiling and a large bath to sink into at the end of the day, while the master bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room, along with a double bed and a walk-in dressing area.

The second bedroom also boasts a double bed as well as fitted wardrobes and a TV, so everyone has a lovely sleeping spot.

Sit out on your lovely enclosed decked terrace, perfect for enjoying an evening drink and discussing the day's adventures, or sit at the rear of the property with a good book as the trickling stream provides the perfect soundtrack to your afternoon.

The location of the property is perfect for those who want to be away from the crowds whilst still within easy reach of the beautiful beach; walk down to Porth Beach for a day on the flat golden sands soaking up the sunshine, with this beach being more popular with families rather than surfers, so you can enjoy a peaceful paddle in the blue waters.

For those seeking the action of the famous Newquay surf, then head down to Fistral Beach and catch the waves coming off the Cribbar Reef, with seasoned pros coming from all over to this UK surfing hotspot as well as complete novices seeking to learn some tips and tricks from the local surf schools.

Newquay Golf Club is an excellent course enjoying beautiful sea views while the boating lake a little further out of town is a lovely place to wander, along with the pretty Trenance Gardens.

Porth is a small seaside village on the outskirts of Newquay. The village offers a shop, cafes, restaurants and a pub on the sandy beach, plus nearby is the South West Coast Path, which boasts spectacular scenery. Watergate Bay, with its rolling waves, surf schools, cafe and pubs, is a short walk away, and the popular resort of Newquay with its beaches, watersports, pubs, restaurants, zoo and aquarium is well worth a visit. Fistral Beach and surf centre are three miles west of Porth, whilst the surf training school at Lusty Glaze Beach is actually within the village. The charming fishing village of Padstow, along with Bodmin Moor, the city of Truro, Falmouth and the world-famous Eden Project are all within easy reach, making Porth an ideal base for a Cornish getaway.
