  • "We stayed during the Feb 22 storms the Cowshed was a haven when the weather was being brutal We loved everything from the decor to the location."

Close enough to tour Cornwall but remote enough to be away from noise and bright lights The single bed broke during our stay - the owners responded quickly and it was repaired the next day. Couldn’t have asked fir better service Thankyou

  • "There was a broken window in one bedroom which had been covered with sellotape, there was no mention of this."

It didn't affect the holiday, but we weren't sure if you were aware of this. Also when crews were setting things out for Boardmasters we were constantly being stopped by security staff asking us why we were walking across what was a public footpath! We told them we were staying @ The Cowshed & they said we should've been given wristband passes by the house owner to allow us through! I don't know if that's true, but it was a nuisance. Apart from that it was a lovely property, very well kept & we'd go again.

  • "We loved this accommodation."

There was plenty of space and storage and it was well equipped, although could have done with serving bowls a bread knife! Overall it was first class and the location to the beaches and walks was fantastic. A great experience from Sykes, we hope to be back..

  • "We had an amazing week at the Cowshed, the cottage is lovely with all the home comforts and the perfect amount of space for the whole family."

It has been well designed to ensure that space is used well and finished to a high standard, it has everything you need for a perfect retreat. The location was perfect, we walked to the beautiful beach directly from the cottage, a nice walk with beautiful scenery and some nice restaurants. The owners published some great coastal walks in the handbook in the Cowshed and we explored a few of those, it was good to know where to get started and we managed to see so much of the amazing sights the coastline in this area had to offer. The owners of the cottage could not have been more helpful, they even let me daughter watch the farrier at work on their horse - much to her delight. A wonderful holiday cottage in an amazing location, we will go back.

  • "This cottage is more than home from home."

It is modern with care taken to provide every amenity you could think of. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the bedrooms very pleasant and comfortable, and two bathrooms, always a plus! It is situated a little off the main road which makes it lovely and quiet, but still close to the beach, shops and other amenities. We went out of season and the weather was not the best, but it was always a pleasure going back to the cottage which was so warm within minutes. If we are lucky enough to visit Cornwall again, this cottage would certainly be our first choice.

  • "Loved staying at the Cowshed."

Very comfortable and well equipped. The property is in a very rural situation ideal for walkers but not for the less mobile where a car journey is required. The drive way is narrow and twisty making it difficult to reverse down. The area at the top of the drive is quite tight making a 3 point turn nigh on impossible with a Mondeo. Never the less we had a great holiday and enjoyed the break.

  • "Wow we were very impressed with this property!"

It is better than the photos made out (and they made it look great). The place was very clean and well presented. The decked area off the main bedroom was a lovely place to sit with a morning coffee in the sunshine. The mezzanine landing made for the light and spacious feel the the communal areas of the house. The upstairs area made for a perfect escape suite for us parents, whilst the teenagers accommodated the ground floor bedrooms and bathroom. The beds were super comfy as was the huge red sofa. The modern kitchen had pretty much everything we required, including plenty of glasses and mugs as well as washing up liquid, cleaning products and bin liners (a colander and large bowl would have been a welcome addition). The welcome gift of cream tea and wine in the fridge on arrival was a nice surprise too! We used the brand new barbecue (coals and firelighters were provided) and enjoyed a few meals in the outside area which was very private thanks to the high fencing. The secure side garden would be a great place to contain pets or let small children play safely. The area was very peaceful as there are only a few houses in the hamlet and it was a no through road. Despite a large holiday park being close by, we did not hear any noise from it. The location was perfect for travelling to the many beaches nearby by car but you can also walk to Porth Beach in about half and hour or so. We would definitely like to return at some point.

  • "After being treated badly and let down by Blue Chip Holidays, we rebooked last minute with Sykes and we are so glad we did."

We found their communication and service to be excellent, taking into account the current climate. We will definitely be using Sykes again, thank you. As for the accommodation, it was perfect, absolutely spotless and we couldn't fault it at all. Just brilliant facilities, extremely comfortable, child/pet friendly and set in a perfect location. The quality of all furnishings and decor is at a very high level, as was all equipment provided. The added covid mitigation measures we're excellent and we had no worries or concerns at all. We would definitely visit this accommodation in the future. Many thanks to owners.
