“We loved the accommodation; perfect little place for 2 people and a dog, lovely facilities - nice open plan living space and bathroom, bedroom had everything we needed.”

Its worth noting that the location is quite remote; there are two pubs within walking distance and both of these require pre booking for food; the Port William has excellent views (get there before sunset for the most stunning scenes), and the Millhouse Inn is a 10 minute walk back from the sea. One thing which we would recommend, if the weather is dry, is to take some picnic food or a disposable BBQ perhaps, as the rocks by the sea are nice to sit on - quite a few people brought disposable ...

Its worth noting that the location is quite remote; there are two pubs within walking distance and both of these require pre booking for food; the Port William has excellent views (get there before sunset for the most stunning scenes), and the Millhouse Inn is a 10 minute walk back from the sea. One thing which we would recommend, if the weather is dry, is to take some picnic food or a disposable BBQ perhaps, as the rocks by the sea are nice to sit on - quite a few people brought disposable BBQ's down (and i'm glad to say they all cleared up after themselves). Your customer services team were great; information was provided about how to access the key safe to get in to the property and when I requested to add a dog to our booking your team quickly approved this which was brilliant. The directions you list to get to the property (The mermaid loft) are incorrect though - you turn off the B3263 towards Trebarwith Strand and then follow the road strait all the way until you see a sign which says "restricted road" and "the Port William" - the road forks here and you need to take the left fork in the road - the property is about 100 meters up the hill on the right with a car parking space outside. Your directions are a little bit crazy - from memory you advise of a right turn from a roundabout, then left, right, left right. We got so lost, it took us an hour and we managed to find it on foot in the end.

The property

The Mermaid Loft is a beautifully styled, converted period apartment just paces from the stunning stretch of sandy beach at Trebarwith, near Tintagel.

With parking and private courtyard, it makes an ideal choice for couples seeking a coastal pad amidst an attractive landscape.

The nautical inspired interior is a chic haven of blue and white hues, a contemporary, well designed space with all the comforts for a fun-filled romantic break.

The open plan living area is perfect for twosomes with squashy corner sofa for relaxation, a smart central island with stools for dining and a high gloss kitchen with all the mod cons for rustling up supper.

The double bedroom is bright and airy with views over the Strand, and the pristine shower room with generous glass cubicle completes the accommodation.

Outside, the little delectable private decked courtyard is enclosed with rattan furniture for sunshine nibbles and sundowner tipples.

The Mermaid Loft sits in an idyllic beachside location on The Strand, a stroll away from superb sand and surf, dramatic cliffs and natural caves.

Enjoy a cliff top feast in the Port William bar & restaurant where magical sunsets are almost guaranteed!

Wander the heritage coastline along the footpath framing panoramic sea views and Gull Rock.

Historic Tintagel is two miles away – with famed Tintagel Castle ready for exploration.

Continue north to Boscastle, with attractive quay and tea shops, or head south of Trebarwith beach to Port Isaac, a short car ride to this charismatic fishing village, the TV home to Doc Martin!

Beautiful Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Padstow are all within easy reach for fun days out.

For seaside adventures in a wonderful location, The Mermaid Loft makes a fabulous couples’ rendezvous homestay – one to return to year after year!
