Near to Looe, Hannafore ( lovely walk along the front and beach -dog friendly) Polperro, Talland ( dog friendly beach & cafe)even Charlestown and Mevagissey aren’t that far away to name just a few. Extra special was having The Gate restaurant with Charlie Walters- Master Chef finalist just up the drive, amazing food. Definitely would recommend Brewers cottage.

  • "Thank you for a wonderful stay."

Could not fault this accommodation. From the lovely welcome goodies, to the very well equipped kitchen, everything has been thought of. As for the beds most comfortable we have had. Very clean and lovely little extras that made it feel so homely. We will definitely be back. Anne Derek and family from the Cotswolds.

  • "A delightful property in a very peaceful location but just a few minutes drive from the centre of Looe."

Very well equipped and the welcome pack of milk, wine, shortbread and fudge were a lovely touch. Our pooch was even catered for with treats and toys! Would definitely recommend a stay at Brewers Cottage. We hope to return next year.

  • "We had a lovely week at Brewers Cottage."

Very comfortable and quiet but near enough to the coast. Thank you for the goodies, most welcome. The only thing, purely personal to us, we would have preferred curtains in the bedrooms. The blinds didn’t keep out the dawn light at 4.00am in the morning. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • "Beautiful property even better than the photos."

Karen the owner goes above and beyond starting with a phone call the day before introducing herself and recommending places to visit from places to eat, best places to park, and where we could buy necessities nearby. When we arrived at the cottage there was a lovely surprise for us of some wine and shortbread biscuits. There was also a container with everything you may need for your dog including toys, treats, food bowl, blankets which were a lovely surprise. The cottage had everything you could possibly need and more besides. We had an amazing stay and would have loved to stay longer, if you want to have a wonderful holiday in Looe you should definitely book up at Brewers Cottage.

We had a really lovely stay, the house was bigger than we thought and in a lovely private location, I must say we had trouble finding the property, I did use the washing machine but it jumped when spinning so I was afraid to use it more, it was very well equipped and next time I would bring my Daughter Son in law and Grandchildren and take them to Looe, Polperro, and Fowey I’m sure they would love it Thank you for a lovely stay Janet

Hi Janet So pleased you enjoyed your stay. We have put some new direction for reaching the cottage, so thank you for letting us know. We hope to see you again soon. Many thanks Karen and Andrew Property Owner

About the location

LOOE

Polperro 5 miles.

Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
