The property

The spacious, detached Westaway House enjoys stunning views of the countryside in Trelights near Port Isaac, Cornwall.

The property boasts mid-century touches and provides a family of nine with a delightful retreat during their Cornish break.

After leaving your vehicle in one of the ample off-road parking spaces in the driveway to the front of the property, make your way inside to the U-shaped kitchen/diner, where stylish fittings house ample appliances for the budding chef of the group to fix up delicious meals with.

Savour dinner at the close-by dining table, or as a feast in the spacious dining room; light the woodburning stove to give the space a warm glow whilst you dine.

Move through the property to find a sitting room, where you can curl up with your loved ones as you watch your favourite show on the Smart TV and warm your toes by the open fire.

For more relaxation spots, continue through the ground floor to find a sunny conservatory boasting ample plush furnishing, or wander upstairs to find a mezzanine snug, with a sofa set perfectly in front of a TV, as well as access to a walk-in wardrobe.

Continue along the coast to find Polzeath, where you can catch the sun's rays at Polzeath beach, explore the National Trust's Pentire Point and finish off the day with sea view dining at Surfside Restaurant.

Around the corner are the shores of Daymer Bay, popular with windsurfers and Rock, which enjoys a slipway if you are bringing a boat with you.

Just across the water from here via a foot ferry is Padstow, where you can take the kids around the fascinating National Lobster Hatchery and Padstow Museum, before wandering down the renowned Camel Trail.

A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
