  • "Having had a long journey from Norfolk it was so nice to arrive & it was spotless & welcoming."

It has everything you need for a comfortable & enjoyable holiday. Especially like that there was a dishwasher. A huge thank you to the owners for letting our dogs stay . We have stayed at Rosecraddoc many times and this is one of the best bungalows we have stayed in. Excellent.

  • "We had the most wonderful Christmas at Merryfield Lodge."

Arriving on a very wet 22nd of December after a long drive it was lovely to arrive to a very pretty little Christmas tree, with some surprise Christmas gifts for us from the owners! Once the heating was on the lodge warmed up very quickly. Everything was immaculately clean, so a long soak in the bath, enjoying a film on the amazing sofa, and a fantastic night's sleep in the incredibly comfortable beds was the perfect start to our Christmas. The kitchen was more than equipped to cook Christmas dinner. We holiday in the summer at rosecraddoc every year, and it was just as lovely in the winter. Our first time away for Christmas ever will certainly not be out last and we will most definitely be booking Merryfield Lodge again. Thank you so much (Serena,Adam,Cooper, Darcie-mae and Ronnie

  • "The property was very comfortable and felt like a home from home with everything we needed."

The beds, pillows, sofa all really good quality and a lovely electric fire to ward off the chilly nights when needed. The properties are set in very quiet, well managed gardens and I would say Merryfield Lodge has a better location being set back from the road and seating area more private. We managed to arrange our trips out around the rain to visit Polperro, Fowey and Looe by train from Liskeard in the sunshine, all within 30-45 mins.

  • "Absolutely perfect!"

Peaceful most of the time aside yapping dogs in nearby cottage. Lovely walks nearby including a wood to walk dog. Cottage clean and comfortable, only one issue which was dealt with swiftly by owner. Only concern we had was the main road, a mirror would be useful to see traffic coming from the left as trees and bushes obscure the view on leaving the park. Would definitely come back again.

  • "We had a very pleasant stay at this holiday home, it was clean and well maintained , the owners had clearly thought of everything even down to a pop up tent for the beach!"

The assortment of tea, coffee and milk sachets were a thoughtful touch, only critism, no teapot! We managed ! The bed was comfortable and well presented, maybe the room could do with a full length mirror though. We would consider staying again but the week was a little marred by the attitude of the site owner/manager/caretaker, he was rude and pointidly accused us of running andover curb stones and was very grumpy about the repair work he was doing, it wasn't us! but overall a good week.

  • "The cottage was well cared for and very clean and we has a lovely week."

It was great have a smart TV and homes at the property. We did find the double bed very hard and a mattress topper would have helped, black out blinds or curtains were needed as it was very bright from 4am. Larger towels or at least listing no bath towels included. I would have been good if the information booklet could do with an overhaul the local beaches, supermarkets etc were just listed with a name and postcode, distance and facilities would have been helpful. The biggest issue us were the directions given on the email 'easy to find by sat nav' was jus other good enough. We arrived late at night in the pitch black, there was no street lighting and bo lights on the entrance to the holiday park, there was a small sign only and the entrance looks like a drive to a house, so we missed it and ended up round the other side opposite the manor where there was a huge sign however could not get through to the holiday lets and bo information how to get there. This could have been avoided with a bit more information on the emailed directions. We did have a lovely time and these things would just make it that bit better

We are glad you found property well cared for and very clean and that you had a wonderful week Thanks for Great feedback We look forward to welcoming you again Property Owner

Everything you could want, was there for us. If there was any negative feedback, all it would be, was to say that the owners didn't sell the Lodge as well as they could of. We were very surprised at at how clean, fresh and well equipped it was, right down to dog towels, and a bowl to wash your dog outside. We were asked to bring tea towels, but these too were provided. Even has a washer/dryer! We will definitely be back for another visit. We can't thank the owners enough for letting us rent their holiday lodge. We all had a fantastic time. Thank you

  • "The lodge was nicely furnished, very comfortable and immaculately clean."

The park was tidy and very quiet. We had a great holiday and will definitely be booking again. If I had a criticism it would be 2 very minor things. Firstly, an outdoor broom would be useful, so as not to tread grass cuttings indoors. Secondly, a sign outside the park on the opposite side of the road could be installed, it's very easy to drive past the entrance if coming from the right. Other than that it's a great place to stay, keep up the good work.

Many thanks Stephen for wonderful feedback and look forward to welcoming you again Thanks for comments there was a broom but next changeover I will definitely purchase a replacement and as for sign on road I shall make a suggestion to site owner Property Owner

This lodge is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. Everything you would need to have a relaxing stay. Washing machine, dish washer, fridge with small freezer, bath with powerful shower, tv’s in each room and comfy sofa if having a night off from sight seeing. Double bed is firm, husband loved it, i slept in the single bed as more medium. The site is lovely and quiet so very peaceful. Looking to book again for next year and daughter and her family looking to also book at same time. Only thing missing was a fan to cool down at night s as lodge holds heat and can be very warm. I would definitely give the lodge 5*+. Owners just a email or call away and were really helpful

Very clean and tidy we had no issues at all with the accommodation. We would go back ... Our only issue was one family had dog on a lead as per the instructions on the site but it was allowed to roam around fouling the lovey area it also attacked the dog that was on a lead and held by me I had to get between the dogs on 2 occasions the family opposite where concerned about their dog as in season and in a pen . The owner did apologise on both instances but it was still left to wander around. Such a shame as this family had no respect for other site users . Rant over .. The overall site was clean and tidy.

Thanks for the welcome pack of drink sachets etc. It would be useful to provide an oven glove as If had to use a tea towel instead which was not ideal.

  • "Pleasant quiet site."

Hot water ran out very quickly & there are no details about getting hot water when it runs cold (evening time). The fridge is very noisy. Wifi at the property- it is not clear if it was provided or not. I.E. Are the instructions 'site-generic' or 'lodge- specific'? .....The pamphlet indicated that a voucher was required but this was not obvious when booked. Guidance needs to be clearer. The bed is very comfortable. The welcome pack did not include the usual bottle of wine this time.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you had an issue with the hot water, there is a boost button for additional hot should supplies run low. I do email all guests before they arrive with further details about the property including your own wi fi code. I do offer guests a welcome pack and this includes. tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, sugar and a selection of biscuits Property Owner

  • "The property was beautifully presented, very clean and fresh, decorated and furnished to an excellent home from home standard."

Surroundings were simple but very well maintained. Quiet and very pleasant. Beautiful birdsong greeted us every morning and afternoon. We would gladly stay there again. However, Wi-fi was not included as advertised in the facilities. The leaflet that was given on how to access wi-fi wasn't very clear, it appeared to be a pre bought voucher scenario, and it was quite expensive at £10 per device per week, it soon adds up if you have teenagers who have tablets aswell as phones. BTWi-fi worked out cheaper. This really needs to be addressed if continuing to advertise wi-fi as part of the package. Also, maybe some information on walks around the area and a play area for children.

Dear Christopher Really happy that you found cottage beautifully presented and very clean and decorated to high standard We look forward and welcome you staying again Thank you for your feedback comments which we take very seriously I personally send every guest a wifi code via email apologies if you did not receive but if only you had contacted myself or Sykes we could have easily rectified wifi issue Property Owner
