  • "The hot water from the taps is scolding and dangerous, especially for children."

Recommend heating engineer is called in before an accident occurs. Apart from this property vis great.

  • "We really liked the cottage (2 adults, 3 teens and a cockapoo)."

The major issue for us - and we appreciate it is a personal one - is that we found the mattress (in the master bedroom especially) way too soft and unsupportive. For us, this would be the reason not to return. Also, could not find a facility to assist with the drying of clothes. On a super positive note, we had an issue with the oven and towels and these were immediately resolved after a friendly and helpful phone call.

Everything you could wish for in the property and all good quality , but please provide 2 loungers for the garden though , lots of chairs but nowhere to lie down and enjoy the private garden. We rebooked for next year whilst staying there as we loved it so much !! Thankyou for letting us share your lovely place see you next year

  • "Another lovely stay in this pretty cottage."

Fully equipped with everything you’ll need. (Could do with a couple of sun loungers for the garden) Can get 2 small SUV’s on the drive. The pretty garden on 3 levels needs some TLC and the hand rail needs replacing. But overall a great place to stay. Very quiet area. Don’t forget your duck eggs from a nearby house. Delicious.

Everything you need in the cottage and a lovely garden. Feel that it could have been cleaned better and also a smell of damp, which was trying to be discarded with plug in air freshener around the house, the smell of air freshener was to overpowering.

  • "Beautiful cottage, very clean and comfortable beds."

Heating easy to work. Extremely peaceful area. Lots of nice walks and horse riding on the beach. (Trenance stables) Garden once beautiful has been left unattended for quite a while. Lots of overgrown bushes and dead plants. Creepers hanging down with sharp thorns. Only the grass is mowed. Such a shame. But would still recommend property.

  • "Nice house however there were a couple of issues - kitchen was lacking in some equipment that might be expected from this grade of accommodation (more glasses, salad servers, a jug, decent cutlery (cheap and nasty as currently provided), ice cube trays, flat baking trays and casserole dishes."

We were without WiFi for the last 24 hours. Also listing might be a bit misleading as pubs and beaches are not as close as we’d understood. Some of the door handles were not attached.

Biggest concern is light in the main bedroom ... we put a LOT of effort into blacking it out - some hotel style very thick / long curtains on BOTH windows would be great. Also a shame not to have a welcome hamper!... we may still return - great quiet location

  • "We had a lovely week at Homelea, the cottage has everything you could ever need & was always warm."

The 3 tier garden was great for our small dog , she had great fun investigating the different areas & up & down the steps. Only wish the weather had been warmer for us to sit in it! The kitchen patio doors to the garden are south facing so I did sit by there late afternoon to appreciate the sun instead. Personally I would have liked a more secure/ solid lockable gate at the side of the property as i was always concerned when she disappeared around the side to watch out of the gate. But that’s probably more about the times we live in unfortunately. The cottage is a great base for visiting all of Cornwall. It is in a quiet hamlet which was perfect for us & only a few minutes drive to Cubert & Newquay for the shops. We loved it so much, we have already booked for next year.
