  • "We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful character cottage."

Old Kiddlywink has a really special feel to it. It's oozing with character, has some stunning original features and has been renovated to a high standard. The decor is beautiful, in keeping with the style of the cottage yet has a contemporary edge. We loved the artwork! It is very well equipped with everything we needed and more. Very cosy and comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here, quiet location within easy reach of some of the most stunning places that Cornwall has to offer.

  • "Old Kiddlywink is a sweet cottage and we had a great holiday."

The main issue I have is the price of the accommodation. We’ve stayed at similar properties in the area (the Orchard & Great Western Farmhouse) for many years and as Old Kiddlywink was more expensive and in a less convenient location, we were expecting a high standard of accommodation and it’s not. It’s also not suitable for 8 people as it has only one fully functioning WC, but as there is only two of us that is not an issue for us.

  • "A wonderful cottage, so homely and such great energy about the place."

Lots of books and games to entertain all ages. Loved the flow of the living space and the garden was such a bonus. Kitchen was a dream, so well equipped and practical - now badgering my hubby for SMEG appliances! Slept so well in the double bed and loved the spacious bathroom plus the downstairs shower room was perfect for after our beach days. The dining space was perfect, very sociable and loved the big table for board games and craft in the evenings. Possible improvements: Single bed upstairs needs oiling as super squeaky and needs a mattress topper as hard and lumpy. We used some blankets under the sheet. Would have loved some recycling, drove all round Newquay looking for a recycling station to no avail. Kitchen floor was not clean and needed a good scrub on arrival. A bigger frying pan would be nice. All in all we absolutely loved this property, the thought and care the owners have given to making it homely and decorating it ❤️ The dog loved the cool flagstone floor to sleep on during the hot nights too.

  • "This is a lovely cosy cottage in a great location."

The house is well equipped with everything we needed for a week in October. We enjoyed exploring Cornwall but decided our favourite places were right on the doorstep, short walks to Holywell, Polly Joke and Crantock beaches. The village of Cubert really does have the best pasties and the fish and chips were great. Thanks for a lovely week.

It was lovely to sit in garden and have an evening meal. Such a good location for exploring all the beautiful beaches. Good location to be able to get to supermarkets etc

  • "Old Kiddlywink is a charming house in a tranquil spot."

The house was extremely well equipped for our group of 6 (including 4 twenty-somethings), with especially lovely bathrooms. Having such a spacious garden was a bonus with its many different areas to sit and relax - and dry the wetsuits. We spent our days exploring lovely walks or driving a short distance to numerous surfing beaches. The DVD collection also rates a mention!
