The property

Resting in the small town of Redruth, rich in history with its mining heritage, lies this stunning abode, Whitesands.

Benefitting from a central location with a plethora of fabulous eateries and local shops to assist with your self-catering stay, Whitesands is a superb base for six friends or a family seeking a Cornish escape.

Be greeted by off-road parking at the front of the lovely dwelling before climbing a handful of steps to reach the patio.

Step inside to discover a spacious entrance hallway, with ceramic tiles and a cloakroom to freshen up after your journey.

First you will find the kitchen/diner, with white-glossed cupboards housing the necessities and an electric oven and gas hob to prepare mouth-watering meals.

Settle down at the dining table, seating six guests, where you can enjoy home-cooked dishes and chatting about the highlights of the holiday.

Moving through the property, be charmed by the sitting room, bathed in natural light with the patio doors and three plush sofas to rest on in front of the large TV.

A scenic drive will lead you to Portreath Beach to feel fine sand beneath your feet, with a seafront arcade and two surfing shops if you fancy riding the waves.

Visit the sparkling sea at St Ives for an even greater surfing scene and the renowned Tate art gallery to immerse yourself in quirky exhibitions; there is also the enchanting home of Barbara Hepworth where you can explore inside and the surrounding beautiful gardens.

With its cobbled streets lined with vintage and boutique stores, Falmouth is another must-see town with a great range of charming cafes and its famous natural harbour.

Falmouth 10.5 miles; St Ives 16 miles.

Redruth is a small town in Cornwall, dating in parts from the 12th century. It was once the centre of Cornish mining history and is now at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a selection of shops, pubs and eateries, and the town holds a variety of continental markets throughout the year. Attractions close to Redruth include the Carn Brea Trail, The Great Flat Load, which is fantastic for cyclist and dog walkers alike, Tolgus Tin Stream Works, and the Tehidy Country Park. The beach at Portreath is a 10 minute drive, or 2.5 miles from Redruth. The entire stunning North coast is a suburb playground for surfing and all watersports, with resorts such as St Ives, Falmouth, the Roseland Peninsula and the whole Lizard Peninsula within easy reach.
