Wonderful holiday it was unfortunate that the boiler broke down for 2 days but the owners were fantastic could not fault their speed to get it fixed and the supply of additional heating which really was not needed as the cottage is obviously very well insulated as we were lovely and warm thank you to Linda and Martin great time and will definitely be going back

Whilst the owners and their very friendly dog, Ruben, live in the adjoining property it is not overlooked and enjoys a pleasant and private outlook over a pretty garden.
Patio doors in the sitting room open onto a sheltered patio equipped with garden furniture and a gas barbecue and the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room.
There are level walks from the front door step and thirsty expeditions can be rounded-off with some refreshment at The Lion and Lamb pub which is a 10 minute walk from the property.
Naturalists will discover a rich and varied wildlife, no more obvious than the glorious melodies of bird song that fill the air, and dog owners will find plenty of open countryside for their pets to run around.
There is a coastal golf course and surf school within a 5 minute drive and Penzance, Marazion and St Ives are within a 9 mile radius.

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area. Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed. If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences. Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west. Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family.
