"Amazing property, in a great location with great facilities."
Owners were really friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Will definitely be back.
-
"The cottage was in a good location and the hot tub was great."
Clean and bright with attractive coastal settings, good heating, appliances and furniture. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We had a very lovely stay and will be back.
-
"Property was lovely, however, it would be good to have a few mirrors in the property, especially in the bedrooms."
Other than that, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
-
"This is a lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful location."
Jane & Paul were fabulous hosts and made us and our dogs very welcome. There is a large enclosed garden which was great for our dogs. The private jacuzzi was an added bonus. The views from the cottage are magnificent and the online photos don’t do it justice. We would definitely recommend particularly if you have dogs.
-
"Very comfortable - quite central for touring having a gated garden was ideal for the two dogs"
-
"Lovely property that is well presented, with everything you need for your stay, in a very quiet & remote location."
Hearing the livestock of the farm when there was nice & added to the tranquility of our staying here. We walked to the Eden project from here, which only took us 30 minutes. Never found the pub, but we were never bothered about that. However, everything you need is only a short 10 min drive from here.

"Just a few small issues with some of the equipment in this property which is a shame"
-
"What a beautiful cottage in a lovely location."
We could not have wished for anything more. It was a lovely surprise to arrive to a welcoming cream tea! And the enclosed garden was brilliant for our puppy. Lots of wonderful places to visit nearby such as Charlestown, Mevagissy, Fowey and Par beach. We would definitely stay again.
-
"A beautiful property in a lovely area myself and my daughter walked to the Eden project in 20 minutes."
Near to everything spent lovely days out with our 2 dogs The cottage was lovely and so warm the hot tub was a extra bonus after walking all day .And the cream teas was really lovely on arrival .
-
"A lovely barn conversion with a stunning view."
Clean and bright with attractive coastal pictures, good heating, appliances and furniture. We enjoyed coastal walks and the bus services in the area are excellent allowing you to walk between villages and catch the bus back. Looe to Polperro, Spit Beach to Fowey are very good and you can also walk from Spit Beach to Charlestown (small free car park near the rail line). Hot tub was an added bonus and was very clean. Welcome cream tea was appreciated and the owner received our grocery delivery as we arrived later than anticipated.
-
"We had a wonderful week stay in early October and highly recommend."
A very clean and comfortable accommodation, fine for us as a couple but good for 4 guests. The hot tub really was a great bonus and we used on each of the 6 days, great after being out walking etc. Excellent location for Eden Project, 20 min walk, or the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey or wider afield. Pleasant walks nearby including the Coastal Path and our hosts information helpful and borrowing maps and the weather was good.
-
"Very nice, clean and well-maintained property."
Lovely kitchen and living space and the beds were very comfy. The hot tub was great, and the cottage was in a good location. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We had a lovely week stay.
-
"Lovely cottage with everything we needed."
Modern, light, bright and warm. The view was amazing and the place was very peaceful. Would have been useful to have a manual or instructions for electrical items and perhaps suggestions for good places to eat etc.
-
"Location was perfect away from it all."
Not to everyone’s taste but ideal for us. Handy for great walks around the coast. Had a great week.
-
"A wonderful little cottage, very cosy and beautifully decorated inside."
Perfect enclosed garden for the dogs with a lovely seating are and amazing hot tub in the stone building next to the cottage with views of the sea. Very close to the Eden project. Highly recommend!
-
"Lovely peaceful quiet relaxing cottage."
Everything we needed during our stay. Thank you
-
"Really lovely cottage and surroundings."
Convenient base for going to the Eden Project and other attractions. Would definitely recommend.
-
"The property was lovely and exactly as advertised."
It was clean, warm, and furnished to a high standard. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to the Eden project, and everywhere that we planned to visit was easily reached by car. With no facilities within walking distance, a car is essential to make the most of a stay here.

"We fell in love with the cottage, area and Cornwall."
Leghorn is a five star cottage with fluffy white towels, white bed linen, peace and tranquillity. It is immaculately clean, we took our two small dogs and assumed they would smell other dogs, there was no doggie smell at all. The owner is on hand if needed but basically let’s you get on and enjoy your holiday. We had fresh eggs from the farm and wish we had bought more to bring home. Eggs delivered to our door! Each cottage has its own hot tub, ours was in the barn with a great sea view from the open stable door. We had the key to the barn which meant we pleased ourselves when we used it. We were entertained evenings by the goat and sheep, horses and cows. The Eden project is within walking distance though a lovely country walk which takes approx 20 minutes. Easy reach to the rest of Cornwall. I can not recommend this place enough, we will definitely be returning. Thank you Leghorn for the lovely memories we’ve made.

"We had an absolutely amazing time here at Leghorn."
The cottage is stunning and decorated to a high standard. Everything you need is on hand to help you with your self catering stay from a dishwasher, microwave and oven down to a bottle opener. The double room and ensuite toilet/shower is down stairs and the twin room with ensuite/bath is upstairs. There is plenty of space for a family of four. The cream tea waiting for us on our arrival was a beautiful gesture. The owners were on hand to help us with any queries not that we had very many. The hot tub was a god send after a busy day visiting family and places. The cottage has some spectacular sea views and is central to many attractions. We had some very peaceful nights sleeps too in very comfortable beds. We will definitely be visiting this little gem very very soon. Also loved meeting the grumpy goat who visited every evening.

"Lovely cottage and perfectly located for exploring Cornwall."
Everything was with an hours drive.
-
"Really lovely property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there."
Warm welcome from cottage owners and loved the resident goat. My only comment is that the listing states the cottage has an enclosed/secure garden area but it is open to the rest of the property, just could be tricky for some people with furry friends but ours loved the extra freedom :)
Thank you for your feedback. We have checked the listing following your comments and cannot see any mention of the garden being enclosed or secure. We are sorry if this was unclear at any point. - The Owner Relations Team Property Owner

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful area."
Owners extremely helpful. Sadly, the weather wasn't the best, but otherwise, a great holiday.

Great stay , lovely views , close to amenities Nice surprise with the additional hot tub added for individual cottages on site

"We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous place."
The owners were very helpful and gave us tips on the surrounding area. We also enjoyed the hot tub which was not shared. Only we are allowed to use it. We also had the most incredible weather for the whole week. I’d recommend Caerys beach ( Porthluney) if you have a dog. It’s a lovely Lottie beach with a big car park and lovely food at the beach bar. We also loved the fish bbq in the evening.

"We had a wonderful stay ."
Views to die for and cottage was spotless. Would love to come again .
-
"The fact that there was the use of a washing machine still listed but not available to use could have been a problem if we had been a family with children."
Also, a full length mirror would have been nice.
Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback, laundry facilities are available on site, following current covid rules the facilities are available using a booking system, we are sorry if you did not notice this information on the property details. Property Owner

"Lovely views from leghorn across bay, clean and tidy, farm animals to see on farm."
Do need car to drive to pub and beach. Because of Covid need to book all restaurants and places to visit in advance, disappointed with wi fi being not secure, otherwise had a lovely stay despite the rain !!
-
"Leghorn was such a great place to stay."
Great location with everything in the house that you needed. Lots of baby items provided such as cot, stair gate and high chair- all great quality and really helpful not to have to think about packing this from home! Great place to stay with pets also. The owners were lovely and provided great finishing touches to make the stay perfect. Can’t wait to return!

Made to feel very welcome by the owners of the cottage . Steve & Karina , Surrey

"Stunning location and fantastic accommodation 5+++++"
-
"Lovely people who owned this, Paul and Jane, could not asked for anymore, hot tub not open, not told by Sykes, no washing facilities, not told by Sykes, I just hope the owners go private and not deal with Sykes."
-
"Beautiful, peaceful, cosy cottage with great views over the sea."
Hot tub and wood burner were the icing on the cake
-
"The view out of our front door was amazing, the location with all animals and the owner were perfect."
We enjoyed our stay and our Kids were happy.

"The property was spotless!"

"Lovely location for a peaceful relaxing holiday with views of st Austell bay, we received a warm welcome from the owners and had fantastic weather."
Highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed in this beautiful Cornish rural area. Perfect.
-
"What a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location."
Everything we needed was here and the cream tea was a lovely bonus. We definitely recommend Leghorn to everyone and are looking forward to coming back for another visit, possibly bringing more people and taking Black Rock too! The hot tub was big enough to share and was the perfect temperature. Both of our dogs had an amazing time too and having their own field to play in was the icing on the cake!
-
"I had a wonderful stay at Leghorn."
The barn conversion is finished to an exceptionally high standard, was fully equipped, immaculately clean, comfortable, and in a stunning location. Waking up and opening the stable door and taking in the sea view was breathtaking. Easy reach of some amazing ‘hidden gem’ coves that Cornwall has to offer.
-
"We had a great week in a lovely, clean, well furnished, well equipped cottage in a beautiful part of the country."
Thanks.
-
"The property we stayed in was lovely, the beds were extremely comfortable and the hosts Paul & Jane were most welcoming, loved the cream tea and fresh milk for a cuppa after our long journey."
We had a sicky newborn with us and a mischievous toddler, they were most accommodating with us having to do washing and also having to entertain our little boy around their beautiful farm. Definitely would return and it's ideal location to visit most places in Cornwall.
-
"We had a great week in Leghorn, we stayed from 20th July."
The barn is perfectly placed to see Cornwall, we enjoyed day trips to Truro, Port Issac and Newquay. The owners were extremely welcoming but respected our privacy, we didn't feel at anytime as though we were sharing a property which was really nice. The 2 fields to walk the dog on the farm had beautiful views over the bay and our dog enjoyed his early morning walk there. Par beach was great for walking the dog and was never crowded, just a 5 minute drive away. Overall we could not fault it.
-
"We all loved our week in the cottage."
The view was amazing and a lovely way to start the day was with a cup of coffee and looking out to sea. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable, the dressing gowns were a nice touch. The kitchen provided everything which was needed. The cottage is in a great location and we never travelled far but saw some beautiful beaches and lovely towns such as Fowey and Charlestown. The Eden Project was a great day out too. We all have come home relaxed and refreshed after our fabulous break, which has been helped by the incredible weather.
-
"A memorable holiday in a beautiful cottage located in a tranquil rural location with sea views."
-
"I would not normally write a negative review."
However , after giving the owner an opportunity to financially compensate us for the lack of facilities- and being offered £15- I decided to. Upon arrival at the cottage we were told that the hot tub would not be ready until the next evening. We were incredibly disappointed as it was only a 2 night stay and we had only booked this particular cottage owing to it having the hot tub. We had taken our children kayaking and had promised them an evening in the tub. In addition to this the hot tub is housed in a roofed, dark, musty stone outhouse .
-
"Fantastic location with beautiful seaviews from the cottage."
We had a really lovely break staying at leghorn cottage, it was home from home with everything you could possibily need and more! The cottage was furnished and decorated to a very high standard, we didnt want to leave! There was a cream tea waiting for us on arrival which was a lovely touch and Paul and Jane were very welcoming and full of information with regards to sightseeing. We would definitely Recommend this cottage to family and friends and cannot wait to stay again in the near future!

"What a lovely week !"
The owners were more than accommodating. The photos online don’t go the cottage justice. Would highly recommend it

The old market town of St Austell, just a mile or two from the south coast, is famous as the historic centre of the china clay mining industry. The wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are perfect for a family day out, and a little further afield Caerhays Castle provides a stunning backdrop to Porthluny Cove. On the edge of town, St Austell Brewery offers tours of the Victorian brewing equipment and a chance to sample the local beer, and for those looking for surf and sand, St Austell Bay has several beaches to choose from - Porthpean, Carlyon Bay, Pentewan, Polkerris - the last offering a variety of water-sports. As well as a small shingle beach, Charlestown, a pretty, historic port, often has wooden sailing ships in the harbour, and is popular as a film location. A little further afield are Fowey and its beautiful estuary to the east and the fishing port of Mevagissey to the west. With lots to do and something to keep the whole family entertained, St Austell is a great year-round destination.
