  • "Beautiful cottage sympathetically refurbished."

Well equipped and tastefully decorated. Cream tea and fresh flowers a lovely treat. Great location, short drive to fantastic beaches. Local pub serving good food 5 minutes walk.

  • "Thank you, we really appreciated the cream tea and milk on our arrival, a nice touch after a long journey."

Unfortunately we were disappointed to find there weren’t any logs for the wood burner as the photos had shown. It would have made the cottage cosy especially on our first night. The garden is very secure, great for our dog to wander around. We visit Cornwall every year and this was our first time at Rose Cottage. Great location and we enjoyed our week in this fabulous county as always. The cottage would benefit from a little up dating.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage."

We had a great week with the bonus of good weather. It is a lovely stay in a well equipped cottage. The only possible drawbacks were the steps up to the garden. When we arrived it had been raining and we were a bit concerned about slipping on the slate. Perhaps some sort of hand rail would be good just to make you feel more secure. Likewise the stairs in the cottage were at a bit of an angle, perhaps that should have been stressed. However we would still have booked! It is a lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Great stay. On a nit picking note it would have been handy to have a torch in the property for use at night to negotiate the steps in the passage to the bathroom but that was not a problem. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

  • "The cottage is tired in appearance and is in need of some general repair and maintenance."

It requires redecoration throughout, the garden needs tidying up and the windows and doors need some attention. The cottage is damp and needs the heating leaving on a low level. The kitchen cupboards are dirty and the kitchen is not very well equipped in terms of crockery, cutlery and utensils. For the rate charged for the property, I expected a much higher standard. I will not be looking to return.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the lovely Rose Cottage."

A beautiful house, in a secluded and quiet part of Wadebridge, but only a 5 minute walk into town, and idealy located for places like Padstow, Port Issac, Constantine etc. Two lovely bathrooms, particularly loved the shower room just off the kitchen, which is handy when you have a family of 5 coming back from the beach. The garden is lovely, with seating area, full of butterflies, and an ideal place to kick back with a glass of wine after a busy day out. Parking space was fantastic, in an area where parking is somewhat at a premium, with steps leading up to the garden. Bedrooms were perfect, with the trundle bed, which is basically a full sized single, being ideal. Great, well equipped kitchen, and nice big dining table, and a lovely lounge area. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending this cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay in this part of Cornwall.

  • "Fantastic property, perfect for the family."

A stair gate at the bottom would have been useful, as would a liquidiser, but otherwise all we could have wished for.

  • "Overall a fantastic property, had a great holiday with two adults and baby under 1."

Lovely location, easy walking distance to Wadebridge. Spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Nice garden to spend the evenings in the sunshine. Stair gate upstairs and high chair provided. Would definitely recommend walking to Wadebridge, hiring bicycles and doing the Camel Trail into Padstow - absolutely beautiful. Only things to note were that the upstairs got very warm during the day and one of the steps was loose on the way from the house to the garden. We would certainly stay again if in the area. Thank you.

  • "We absolutely loved your cottage."

We have a wonderful, memorable, pre-Christmas family get together. It had everything we needed, the kitchen equipment served all our needs. Thank you. It would have be good to have access before 4pm, that's really late compared to other properties we have stayed in. An automatic light on the entrance would be really useful in the dark winter months.

  • "The cottage was perfect for us because of the option to arrive on a Friday, the size of the property, two parking spaces on site and the location because we were four adults attending a wedding at Egloshayle church the day after our arrival, we were able to walk to the church for the wedding and short drive to Pencarrow House for the reception."

Quiet location but easy 20 minutes walk to Wadebridge and close to drive to Padstow, or there is a bus stop by the church. All facilities you need for a comfortable stay, the kitchen was very well equipped. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds and pillows were comfortable, the two bathrooms were great to have and bath sheets also very good quality. We would be very happy to stay again.

  • "A lovely property, comfortable and cosy with all the things we needed in the kitchen."

As the weather wasn't fabulous it was nice to enjoy the logburner in the evening. All the information we needed about the cooker, microwave and other appliances was readily available. The location is very handy for Wadebridge but quiet and restful. It's a bit of a hill to get back if walking. Not a problem for us but just to mention in case anyone has mobility issues. We would recommend this property and certainly consider staying again - Thanks!

I'm very jealous - I would love to be able to buy something like it. The location is excellent - Wadebridge has everything you can need.

  • "The garden whilst nice it was not clear that the garden was up steps from the cottage."

The steps were a bit difficult to navigate with the bushes being overgrown especially difficult to carry an infant up the steps. The high chair straps were dirty and whilst we tried to clean them it proved not possible with what cleaning items we had available and therefore we could not use it.

Nice garden. Decent parking. Warning: very steep stairs. Needs a hairdrier or 2 and instructions for the downstairs shower, we only got it working by guesswork.

Thank you for your feedback. We have now purchased hairdryers for future guests. We hope you visit our cottage again in the future. Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback, as mentioned in the property description Rose Cottage, has a raised lawn garden complete with a traditional cottage garden which is regularly maintained. Property Owner

It’s a wonderful cottage in a great area. We were greeted with a beautiful bunch of tulips and a delicious cream tea (scones, jam & cream). Great dog walks, short walk to the centre of Wadebridge, the local rugby team play just down the road, friendly neighbours.

  • "A lovely holiday and wonderful cottage."

We had two issues that weren’t resolved. The kitchen back door key was not available and we reported this immediately. We had one call back to ask us to look in certain places but the key was still not found. I reported this and expected a call back. Instead I had an email saying that the issue had been completed! Not so! We later read the visitors book and it seems that the key has been missing since August! Possibly the lock/ key issue should have been resolved six months on! Also the TV wasn’t working and we only discovered this a few days into the holiday but couldn’t get through to report it until the 4th Jan. not a big issue but it would have been nice to have had a call back or the problem fixed for our last two days. All in all a lovely cottage and holiday with two minor unresolved issues!

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, despite searching high and low, the back door key has currently gone missing. We are in the process of arranging a replacement key. We are sorry for any inconvenience this caused. We did receive your report of the faulty TV but you had mentioned that it was not a bother and that you wanted to make us aware so it could be looked at on changeover. The TV has since been checked and is working fine. We are glad to hear you liked the cottage. - The Cornish Cottage Holidays Team Property Owner

Would just say that the stairs are steep and could be tricky if you're not too steady on your feet. They slope slightly and not too wide if you have big feet. But it just adds character to this little treasure.
