  • "Lovely stay in a lovely area property nice no welcome pack even a pint of milk would have been nice."

Slip mate in bath needed no tea towel had to go out and buy one but overall nice property

Thank you for your feedback, we do provide tea/coffee & milk sachets (milk is tricky given people’s requirements). We have discussed with Sykes about offering a welcome pack, that could be arranged during booking. We will investigate the slip matt as they are provided in the cupboard and strange on the tea towels as we had purchased new pack of them. I will discuss we our house manager that perhaps to provide a call to all guest on arrival that any issues or questions are resolved. Property Owner

  • "A lovely house, spacious, well furnished and spotless."

My only suggestion to make this even better would be to leave a tea towel please and consider black out or thicker lined curtains upstairs, the white curtains in the double bedroom at the back of the house were especially thin! These are minor points and our stay was otherwise fantastic, thank you!

Thank you for great feedback glad you had enjoyable stay. You should have got a tea towel as part of towels etc, I look into why that was missing. Will also look at the curtains for next season. Property Owner

  • "The house itself is really lovely- the owners have clearly put a lot of thought, time, and effort into creating a really nice holiday home, with everything you might need."

The location is good- close to Perranporth, and St Agnes, with lots of other lovely nearby beaches & places to visit. But we couldn’t help but feel that it was being let down by the cleaning company- there was a lot of dust on light shades, skirting boards & furnishings, cob webs, crumbs on the dining chairs, and stains in the toilets. The garden furniture hadn’t been cleaned or brushed off for a long time, and the grass was long, which didn’t make the garden inviting for us. It really wouldn’t take a lot for things to be perfect there. Overall we had a lovely stay & hope others do too!

Sorry to hear that some of cleaning areas and maintenance had not been completed to our usual high standards. I apologise and have been in contact with our holiday home management team to correct and improve. I am glad that it did not detract from your overall holiday stay. Property Owner

  • "A Real Home From Home."

What a fantastic property, this has to be one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. It has everything in it you could possibly need, the owners have really thought about what you would need also with children (non slip bath mat, black out blind, stairgate, toys to name a few things). The kitchen was well stocked, so the few times I cooked it had everything i needed. Great location for exploring Cornwall, we traveled to St Ives, Newquay, Eden Project and was all within an hrs drive. Cant recommend this property enough.

Thank you for your great feedback we really appreciate it and glad you enjoyed your holiday at Gwel Nans. Property Owner

  • "A lovely house in a good, peaceful location, very close to Perranporth."

Unfortunately there were a couple of things that were not up to standard. The toilet upstairs hadn’t been cleaned properly and there were multiple hairs on the sheet of the one bed. The bin in the kitchen was dirty and there were crumbs all over the kitchen chairs. We cleaned everything and purchased a new sheet. The garden furniture didn’t appear to have been used for a long time and would need cleaning. On a final note, although not expected, a pint of milk in the fridge would be a nice welcome. We still had a lovely stay and it wouldn’t stop us from returning.

Thank you for your feedback, sorry you had a few items not upto standard. I have been in contact with our holiday home management team and corrective actions have now been put in place. On the milk, as you may seen we provide tea/coffee etc we have provide in the past long life milk small cartons. As you can maybe understand there are customers potentially with allergy & covid that has prevented us from generally providing this. We have discussed with Sykes that could introduce a welcome pack Property Owner

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Gwel Nans."

The property was very clean and tidy with everything we needed and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody wishing to visit the area. We came with our son and grand daughter who were over from Australia for a visit so it was an ideal base for going 'down in Cornwall' saving travelling time from Bude where we live. The local pubs - Miners Arms and Bolingey Inn - served very good evening meals as we didn't want to cook for ourselves and wanted to sample the local cuisine. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

  • "All excellent and enjoyable."

Just one issue of the bedroom at far end next to bathroom was noisy when the wind was in a particular direction. It was the wire cables outside at the corner of the property.

The owners have been very thoughtful with amenities and equipment. Only contacted at the beginning to collect keys, very helpful. Wouldn't hesitate in staying there again. Had a great relaxing week.
