This well-equipped ground-floor lodge is situated on an exclusive gated site on the outskirts of the market town of St Columb Major.

2 Merlin Lodge boasts a contemporary style which is perfect for families and friends looking to explore the North Coast of Cornwall.

The spacious open-plan living area is uplifted with natural light and offers a delightful space for everyone to gather, perhaps to enjoy a fine meal prepared in the contemporary fitted kitchen, where a welcome pack with Prosecco and coffee awaits your arrival.

After dinner, look forward to sinking into the leather sofas with the coordinated cushions offering a relaxed seating space.

whether playing table games, winding down with a cup of fresh coffee from the cafetiere or settling down to watch a good film before bed.

To indulge the balmy evenings even further, why not throw open the French doors onto the terrace and enjoy alfresco dining?

There are three bedrooms at this high quality ground-floor cottage, providing enough room for six guests in total, they are furnished to a similarly high standard whilst complemented by charming accessories.

The master bedroom offers a delightful setup with king-size double bed and wall-mounted TV, along with a stunning en-suite shower room finished with marble tiling.

The remaining two bedrooms consist of a further king-size double and a twin, both dressed in a neutral décor and served by the family bathroom.

Particular attention has been paid to the wall decorations: the pictures not only compliment the overall high quality decor, but also bring additional vibrancy and the spectacular Cornish region even closer.

The carefully selected colour palette within this ground-floor holiday accommodation makes the lodge feel warm, comfortable and relaxing any time of the year.

Outside there are two dining areas on a wooden decking, with a picnic bench and parasol to the rear garden and a dining table with chairs at the front, perfect for some alfresco dining.

The rear garden, whilst enclosed, boasts with a well-established flower border which is maturing with perennials and shrubs suitable for the coastline gardens.

The guests can observe wild birds getting their fill at different bird feeders, both at the front and rear of the garden.

The owners will provide a small box of bird feed for the guests in the outside utility room, should they wish to encourage the winged companions to return.

The RSPB guidebook is offered at the lodge, with a pair of small binoculars and a bird log book for any keen bird enthusiast to help us develop an all-year-round log of wild birds.

A notable highlight was a brief glimpse of a barn owl very near the lodge.

For adults and those feeling active, the opportunities that the surrounding area offers are in abundance, with something to suit all ages and tastes.

Within close reach is the Camel Trail offering cycling opportunities through picturesque countryside for established cyclists or for those enjoying a relaxing day out with bike hire in nearby Wadebridge.

Alternatively, choose to walk along the South West Coastal Path which provides with all year round opportunities to explore the rugged coastline and soak up the breath-taking views of this region; many trails are within an easy reach of Merlin Lodge.

An old and picturesque market town nestled among lush green countryside, just five miles from the North Cornish Coast. The resort attractions of Newquay includes bars, clubs, a zoo, vibrant shops, the National Surfing Centre and fabulous beaches are all just 7 miles away, while 9 miles in the other direction is the sleepy fishing port of Padstow. In between lies a beautiful section of the South West Coast path, winding its way over the clifftops, down to tranquil coves and across some of the region's top beaches. The surrounding area is also a visitor’s paradise with much to see and do. Stately homes, world-renowned gardens, adventure playgrounds and theme parks, model railways, fishing lakes and golf courses are all to be discovered within 10 miles.
