  • "Second time at this beautiful house."

Feels like a second home . Views as always never disappoint. Close to the town which we visited most days for a cheeky wine or pasty. Honestly cannot praise this place enough. Looking to come back again next year if we are able to.

  • "Inside really clean and well equipped."

Beds very comfy and plenty of space downstairs. Lovely hot tub. Fantastic views of the sea and coastline. Outside let down by 2 large bags of garden rubbish left on bottom patio area and an old brush and pan left on pathway at the side of the top patio.

  • "I can’t praise highly enough the quality of this property."

It really is a home-from-home! We felt like we were house sitting for the owners rather than it being a holiday let! The interior is immaculate, very tastefully decorated, warm & cosy (even without the heating on), everything you would possibly need is supplied, amazing views from all rear windows, comfortable beds, ample parking, and to top it all - a hot tub! A most welcome option to soothe aching legs after a day of walking. The house is perfectly located just a short walk from the harbour. We particularly liked Port Gaverne, the same length walk as Port Isaac centre, a beautiful quiet bay (very safe for swimming/snorkelling/paddle boarding) with amazing food at Port Gaverne Hotel & Restaurant. We would not hesitate to book again or recommend to friends & family. PS love the photo book of the stages of the renovation of Chy An Mor!

  • "Beautiful home from home, with everything you could ever need or want."

Great location, on a quiet street & walk to the village in a few minutes. A 5 minute walk in the opposite direction is the most fantastic kids playground, with a sea view!!! Staff in the Co-op round the corner were extremely friendly & helpful too. The owner is extremely helpful, friendly & very efficient. Everyone fought for the sunny window chairs, with that fabulous sea view. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, after getting 2 worn out grandkids to bed. Chy-an-Mor will surprise & delight you. We will be back!!

  • "The property exceeded our expectations and was absolutely spotless."

Every detail from decor to kitchen equipment, was well thought out and provided everything we needed. We loved the fact we had beach towels and picnic rugs and even a wind break provided. The story of Chy An Mor book was a great feature and it was interesting to see how the property developed.

  • "The house has been refurbished beautifully, and is well equipped."

The views of the coast are wonderful! The property is also very well located for access to all that Port Isaac and Port Gaverne have to offer, and is much easier to access than some of the properties closer to the harbour itself! As per the photos, the house is semi detached: most of the time we did not hear the neighbours much at all - but on occasion the ability for noise to transmit between the properties was apparent. Also, the garden is overlooked by neighbouring properties, though the nature of port towns in Cornwall is such that the properties are mostly fairly small and close together. All in all we had a really lovely week and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chy-an-Mor.

  • "We stayed in chy-an-mor during Easter break 2022 for a week."

There was enough room for 2 families, 2a and 2c plus 2a and 1c. The house itself was lovely. Everything you could possibly need, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped. The views from the house were outstanding. The owners were pleasant and helpful and were there if you needed them. We had a fabulous time and wouldn't hesitate to rebook.

  • "One of the best equipped properties that we have stayed in, from tea bags/coffee to dishwasher tabs, logs/coal for the fire and washing facilities."

Very comfy sofas and beds, stunning views to the rear and a shop within 100m. Privacy in the hotub/outdoor eating area would be an issue in the summer as all the adjacent gardens have low walls. Contact with the owners excellent, info pack very thorough(can't see how previous occupants couldn't follow the recycling instructions.....) Nearest pub down a very steep hill but worth a visit or two...Golden lion. The Mote restaurant was also excellent.

  • "We were able to check in earlier on the day as the cleaners had been in on the Saturday and we had arrived on the Monday."

The house was nice and clean and was better than the pictures on the website. The weather wasn't the best (expected this time of the year) but it was nice to sit in the chairs by bay window in the and enjoy the views overlooking the bay. The view from the main bedroom was worth the climb up the stairs and gave us a better vantage point to look over to Tintagel Castle. Everything was in the house to make it feel really homely and the furniture was nice a comfy to sit on and relax during our stay (trust me, we have had some uncomoftable furniture in the past on holiday lets). The communication between the owners and us was first class and they always responded with the answers to our questions in a timely manor. It was well worth the stay and we'd love to come back and stay again another time.

  • "Wonderfully located property with stunning views far enough from Port Isaac centre to be calm but close enough to quickly walk to either Port Isaac or Gaverne."

Could not fault our stay, wd recommend. Owners were incredibly helpful. Hot tub overlooking sea and clear views of Tintagel and local area were stunning.

  • "We had a fantastic stay in Chy-An-Mor."

The house exceeded expectations. It was beautiful, comfortable, spacious and had spectacular views. It's a minutes walk from the local Co-Op (although the staff are the least friendly people towards tourists) and there's a couple of restaurants a couple of minutes walk down hill. The owners are really helpful and get back to you quickly if there are any problems. The house has everything you would need for a holiday and is 10 minutes from Polzeath which has an amazing beach for surfing.

  • "We had a fabulous stay in Chy-an-Mor."

Everything you could think of was provided. It was so handy for us with a baby to have a travel cot & highchair provided, especially when travelling a long way. It was also a nice touch to find baby books, and adult books, puzzles etc. We had a fair bit of rain whilst there, so it was lovely to have such a beautiful house to spend time in. The hot tub is a wonderful addition, and the views are stunning. The owners are most helpful, I contacted Jodie a couple of times and received a very quick response each time which was appreciated. So handy having a Co-op 2 minutes away, and the centre of Port Isaac 5 - 10 minutes walk. So many fab places to eat, and lots of beautiful beaches just a short drive away. Absolutely loved our stay here, and would highly recommend this place

However, we did not feel that it was Covid safe. There were games, books, soft furnishes, hot tub etc that could not have been sanitised effectively on a same day change over. If we had a vulnerable member in our group this could have been a real issue.

We found the location perfect, with something for everybody. The kids loved the harbour and crabbing in the rock pools. The local pub was great for teh adults. The house gave us a very comfortable base from which we could explore the area. There are fabulous beaches and cycling nearby. The house itself is very nice. It has lovely views out to sea. Comfortable beds. Large open ground floor for cooking, eating and relaxing. The kids enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings while the adults got the food ready.

Everything was spotlessly clean. The owners, and property maintainers helped us before our arrival, by arranging for a high chair to be available, for our 11 month old grandson. We all had a super holiday, and the house played a big part in that. Thank You

The décor boasts a contemporary feel brought together with cream-coloured units curving around the wall and complimented with coastal blue tiles.

The sweeping floor leads round to the lounge, which hosts a beautiful set of armchairs and a woodburning stove in a small inglenook of the room.

Patio doors lead from here out into the garden, with stunning views of clear waters and craggy headland.

The first floor plays host to three family-friendly bedrooms each with beds from The Handmade Bed Company; two double along with children's bunks, served by a gleaming bathroom.

Up on the second floor is the master suite with a super kingsize double with vi-spring mattress, boasting its own shower room, and more of those inspiring views stretching from the Juliet balcony, to the green countryside backed by the sea.

Much of Port Issac is unchanged from its fishing days, with an abundance of character properties clustered behind the harbour.
