  • "We were lucky enough to have the opportunity of holidaying in Morrane and Demelza."

Both were fully equipped with everything you could need and the hosts were exceptional, friendly, helpful and generous . Everything has been thought of and if you are missing anything it will be in the cottage or in the owners' storeroom! We will be back to visit, hopefully when it is not raining.

I have not stopped talking to all I meet about how relaxing, dog-friendly, and peaceful this holiday location is. All decorated for Christmas with turkey, veg, and mince pies included. It's so perfect we have booked for next Christmas - this will be our third year. Thank you, Maureen and John.

  • "We had the most wonderful stay at Morrane."

This is the best equipped, comfortable, most beautifully presented and idyllic setting we have stayed at (and we have stayed at a lot!). Maureen had thought of everything. It was perfect for our two young boys and two dogs, and they had free run of the beautiful and safely enclosed garden. This enabled us to have a relaxing and stress free break! The hot tub was also a fantastic bonus and we couldn’t get the boys out of it! My sister lives nearby and so our family visited a few times and Maureen made them feel very welcome. We just had the most lovely week and cannot wait to come back.

  • "Maureen had thought of everything, a very welcoming and beautiful place to stay."

Safe for dogs as the extremely large garden is totally enclosed. There is also a field to let them have a run on. The decking and hot tub area was wonderful, lovely place to have breakfast and listen to the birds. Morrane is a comfortable cottage with a calm and relaxing atmosphere and you can tell it has been furnished with love.

Maureen called to let us know that the property was ready for us earlier than expected which was very much appreciated. The property was spotless and decorated and furnished to a very high quality finish. There was milk, tea and coffee and ample cream teas left for our arrival. Individual towels and bath robes were perfect for the jacuzzi and gave it a luxurious feel. John and Maureen were the perfect hosts, always on hand it you needed anything and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely return.

It felt like a home from home, very clean and comfortable with an amazing hot tub, also conveniently located to get to all our favourite parts of Cornwall! Doggie treats, toys, towels all useful during our stay. Well equipped kitchen. Loved the Cornish pasty treats and other extras. Found it a good central place to stay to visit both north and south. Would love to stay during the summer when we could take advantage of the morning sunshine on the decking for breakfast. The only minor comment would be that there is no seating in the back to enjoy the afternoon/evening sun.

The cottage very clean and the bed very comfortable. Everything in cottage that you could need. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandson spent a few days with us, and highchair and travel cot were provided. The hot tub was wonderful, so relaxing after a day walking with our dog, we also found the hot tub is the perfect aid to a good night’s sleep. Towels and bathrobes were also supplied. Maureen was always on hand for anything, very friendly and obliging. Thank you very much for the cream tea and the pasties, which were delicious. Maureen also very thoughtfully left a present of a bucket, spade etc for our grandson’s first trip to the beach, also Barkley the dog says thank you for his treat bag and toys. The garden is secure and quite large, but you can use one of the fields for a more active exercise session. The cottage is very clean and well equipped for both people and dogs, and the whole site is incredibly quiet and peaceful. Carefully placed fencing also provides privacy from the neighbouring cottages. We thought the location was perfect for visiting all of the western half of Cornwall, being no more than 30-40 minutes drive from Lands End, St Ives, The Lizard, Falmouth, Newquay, or St Austell. The beaches of Perranporth, Chapel Porth, and Trevaunance Cove, and the St. Agnes heritage coastal path are all less than 20 minutes away.

Every detail had been considered by Maureen from dedicated towels for the Hot Tub, cleaning products and games for the children. The house was one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The house was dog friendly, we didnt have our dog with us yet the house was of a pet free standard. Location was perfect as we travelled every day to different parts of Cornwall. Maureen Contacted us before arrival to make sure we arrived safe and sound. Nothing was too much trouble, there were essentials in the fridge for our arrival including a welcome gift of Cornish pasties. Cherry on top of the cake for us was the Easter egg hunt for the kids.
