  • "Our second visit to Nantrisack cottages, and we don't usually re-visit holiday homes."

Maureen is a great host making sure your happy and the most important visitor is relaxed and settled with doggy treats. Omalast had everything we expected, spotlessly clean, a comfortable spacious home from home with lots of thought put into the detail. A great base for exploring both coastlines and near to Truro. Each of the six properties is themed different which makes it a unique experience each time. Dogs are welcomed and have goodie bags, bowls and toys. Already planning third visit.

  • "We had a fabulous time away."

The property was so lovely and clean, it smelt gorgeous you would not think that they accommodated for dogs. The dogs loved it and were so safe in the huge enclosed garden. Views amazing and the hot tub was so nice to relax in. Not hydrotherapy but nice enough. The only additional option would be to have a bar-b-q. Thank you so much for making our holiday so wonderful, we would love to come back again, this property is very popular and if you want it you need to book well in advance.

! Maureen has thought of everything, just in case you forget to pack your toothbrush... so no worries there. Hot tub was a good temperature, good sized T.vs and very comfortable soffas.... only drawback and complaint was that the mattresses were past there best, and both of us being tall did have back discomfort...an upgrade would score you a perfect 10, Thankyou.

The hosts Maureen and John made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond in everything, it was a home from home experience, lots of extras to make your stay just perfect. This is a very much dog friendly holiday also our fur babies were made to feel as welcome as we were and the enclosed garden around the cottage was ideally suited to dogs, they could explore their grounds while at the same time were kept safe and of no bother to anyone else. We will definitely be returning again.

  • "Well what an amazing place to stay at."

We arrived with our puppy and absolutely everything had been thought of for us and him…bowls, toys, treats etc. Prosecco was cooling in the fridge and cream tea waiting for our arrival. The huge garden was secure for our dog, so we were able to let him wander around knowing he couldn’t escape. Maureen the owner was always on hand and was so warm and welcoming. If you ever feel like you’ve forgotten to bring something, I would be surprised if it wasn’t already provided. Each room was fully equipped. The cottage was a perfect base to visit various places. As the cottages were all spaced out you definitely felt like you had your own privacy. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was exceptional, we took everything we thought we would need but there really was no need to do this as Maureen provided everything you could want or need to enjoy/ enhance your stay as well as local knowledge for places to visit. The cottage is tucked away in a very well looked after area and us such a beautiful place it's so secluded to provide that peace quite and tranquility that we all need at times.

The cottage was absolutely perfect in every way possible. Maureen and Joan had thought of everything possible then more. Even a dogs comfort and fun had been provided for with feeding Bowls bedding and toys. The cottage is well furnished providing everything possible for the occupant. Car parking was well-thought out with a private drive allowing the car to be right outside the door, perfect for a disabled person. We can only say it was incredible and such a pleasure to spend our ten days there. Ideally located in an extremely quiet location. The hot tub was wonderful, providing a relaxing experience at the end of the day, A perfect extra for any holiday. Maureen and John have not just provided a holiday cottage, they have provided a home from home with little extras, well done to both you are two lovely people who put out comfort above everything. We now have two new friends who we will see as often as we can, thank you both. Brian and Joan (aka The Light)

Not particularly good especially for reading, in the sitting room area either.

Thank you for responding to our feedback request for your recent stay at Omalast Cottage. We are sorry to hear that you had problems with the lighting during your stay. The lighting in that room is on a dimmer switch and can be turned up brighter if needed. Hopefully we may have an opportunity of you being a guest again at some point in the future. We are pleased to hear that despite the points raised you enjoyed your stay at Omalast Cottage. Property Owner

  • "This is an excellent holiday let; probably one of the best we have experienced."

Every effort has been made by Maureen to ensure it is a true home-from-home experience. Extremely comfortable and homely. Lovely bed; great sleeps! It is in quiet and peaceful location with easy access to all areas of Cornwall. There are two new properties being built on adjacent land within this complex. We were not warned on the Sykes website about this. We went for peace and quiet pre my wife's hip operation (limited mobility) so were using the facilities during the day. The noise was noticeable. Once this was brought to the attention of the owners the work was halted. They couldn't do enough to ensure we had the break we expected. Very dog friendly with 3 fields available as part of the complex and coastal walks close by. Will definitely return for any future breaks in Cornwall. Maureen deserves the highest praise for a little Cornish gem. Highly recommended.

The location, the cleanliness and the size on the enclosed garden was superb. Our dog Rufus enjoyed the freedom to roam about . We loved the Jacuzzi and the log fire in the evenings . Maureen and John were brilliant , friendly hosts . Always happy to help. Our sat nav did not find the exact location, but Maureen's written directions were all that was required after the Chiverton roundabout . I suggest that you turn off the sat nav when you reach that part of the journey . It is too confusing to listen to the wrong directions when so close to the final location. The cottage is central to lots of beautiful beaches and coves etc . We are going to make this an annual visit . So relaxing and enjoyable . I would recommend it to anyone .
