The property

In the heart of Penzance coastal resort, Little Bolthole is a divine traditional mid-terrace granite cottage paces away from the coast and promenade on beautiful Mounts Bay.

This cute escape offers a well-presented accommodation over three floors, with a serene décor creating a restful and cosy vibe.

The open-plan sitting area has a large couch, where you can relax in front of the wall-mounted TV, with a dining area for four and a bespoke kitchen for rustling up a bite to eat.

The utility room houses the washing machine and beyond, the conveniently placed modern bathroom completes the ground floor.

The first floor hosts two bedrooms, a double and twin guaranteeing a good night sleep.

From the double bedroom, stairs rise to the second floor, which acts as an attic/play room and has a space under the eaves for music, reading and board games.

The rear courtyard is good for safe storage of cycles and surfboards, and the elevated garden is a great sunshine spot for relaxing.

Perfect for couples, friends and families looking to enjoy the seaside attractions, Little Bolthole is the ideal base to explore the myriad of beaches, coves and fishing villages, all within easy reach.

Take a dip in the Jubilee Sea-pool, or stroll to Marazions’ big arc of golden sand for swims and boating fun.

The iconic St Michael’s Mount is a must-visit landmark, topped with a castle and Mediterranean gardens.

A day trip to the Isles of Scilly by boat can be taken from Penzance harbour or ride the coastal train to the picturesque town of St Ives.

Newlyns’ busy fishing port, and charismatic Mousehole with dinky quay, galleries and traditional inns serving the catch of the day is a treat.

Just 10 miles away, Land's End has something for everyone - look out for the seals, dolphins and basking sharks set against seascapes and rugged scenery.

With restaurants, cafes and shops within a short walk, there’s no better place to return to.

About the location

St Ives 8 miles.

One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas. The spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
