The property

This quirky studio is ideal for a couple looking for a romantic retreat away in a secluded countryside location 4.5 miles from Helston.

The main living space is open-plan and features a king-size brass bed at one end, which sits against an open brick wall, a main sitting area with a two-seater sofa and television, a small kitchenette with fridge, cooker and microwave and a small square dining table - perfect for two.

This lovely space is quirky and jam-packed with character features, from the tall apex ceilings and exposed beams, to the slate floor, stable doors and colourful artwork on the open brickwork.

Outside, fire up the barbecue and enjoy toasting marshmallows as you sit and relax into the evening in your own private space.

The immediate surroundings are rural and green; roam the grounds just outside your front door and come across a mini Stonehenge, a small pond and farmyard animals including chickens and goats.

Just a short drive away is Helston town centre where you have access to plenty of historical attractions like traditional old pubs, numerous pasty shops and miner’s cottages.

Walkers will enjoy a stroll around Penrose, Cornwall’s largest natural lake, and the great beaches nearby, including Porthleven, Mullion Cove and Gunwalloe are definitely worth a visit.

Take a ride on the Helston Railway or visit the Helston Museum on a rainy day for a great day out exploring the history of the town.

Beacon View is ideal for hikers and bikers looking for a romantic break away, off the beaten track.

About the location

HELSTON

Porthleven 3 miles; Falmouth 12 miles; Penzance 14 miles.

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline.

Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum.

Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area.

Nestled in a tranquil setting is the National Seal Sanctuary on the Helford River, where there is plenty of entertainment watching seals play and feed.

If it is thrill rides that excites you, then Flambards theme park will keep you amused all day and also has excellent living history experiences.

Further afield is the harbour town of Falmouth to the east and Land's End to the west.

Helston is a wonderful holiday destination offering plenty of attractions for the whole family..
