  • "As always in Cornwall the parking is a nightmare especially in Newlyn."

Apart from that everything else was very good.

Thank you for your feedback. Best wishes, Rachel Property Owner

  • "Property is absolutely gorgeous."

We were really very comfortable and could not want for anything. The only reason given four and not five stars is the parking. We really struggled to find parking and ended up using the pay and display in a number of days and nights. The property though is outstanding it really is.

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for your lovely review and I’m so pleased you liked the cottage. Sorry you found parking difficult, I’ll include more information to guests about other local streets where it may be possible to park. Best wishes, Rachel Property Owner

  • "Carbon monoxide Alarm was bleeping every minute on third day."

When examined. The unit had expired in March 2024. Made us anxious, for the remainder of our holiday Bath/Shower definitely not suitable for elderly people, due to having to step over Bath to use Shower. Also no non slip Mat in Bath, which made showering hazardous

Hi, the carbon monoxide has now been replaced, and I’m sorry it started beeping while you were staying. I will make sure the description of the bath more explicitly explains the showering situation and I’ll provide a bath mat for the use of guests that may require one. Thank you for your feedback. Best wishes Rachel Property Owner

  • "A lovely cottage, very close to the sea and the shops in Newlyn (including the incredible fish and chip shop!"

). Very comfortable and clean. Parking nearby was easy, it really is one minutes walk! Such a nice thought to provide milk and tea to welcome us, looking at booking again next year.

Thanks for your great feedback and so glad you enjoyed your stay. Rachel Property Owner

  • "This is a beautiful, clean and modern cottage is set in a quiet hamlet of Newlyn with shops and bus service just a few minutes walk away."

The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances and has a small, private courtyard with a table and chairs. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable - both with TV. The lounge has plenty of space and is furnished with very good quality sofas and accessories. I would recommend the property - loved it.

  • "Great cottage in a fantastic location!"

Newlyn is really happening with food etc. We didn't have a car but parking may be an issue in peak time.

Thank you for your great feedback. Luckily there are usually places to park near the cottage as most streets don’t have any restrictions or residents only parking. Property Owner

About the location

NEWLYN

Penzance 1.2 miles; Marazion 6.6 miles; St Ives 8.9 miles.

Nestled next to Penzance, and although still a quaint town in its own right, Newlyn is actually the third largest fishing port in England, and an important Port of Refuge for all seafaring craft. This Cornish town is clustered around the harbour, with its historic 800 year old quay (the Mayflower actually left for America from this quay, not Plymouth) curling around a few small boats on the western side. Famous for the Newlyn school of Art and Newlyn Copper, the Cornwall Coastal Path passes through the town, as does the level Mousehole to Marazion cycle path. An abundance of wildlife and flora can be enjoyed along both, with basking sharks, dolphins and grey seals often seen. The Cornish coast is renowned for surfing, and Penwith offers some splendid beaches on which to enjoy this sport as well as surf fishing for sea bass. Mounts Bay also offers a wealth of opportunity for watersports enthusiasts as well as giving visitors an opportunity to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings.
