We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for your feedback which will help with any decisions we make during the winter closure. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely weeks break at dilly dally barn."

Lovely and clean. The garden was perfect for the kids. The owners were lovely always on hand to solve any issues. (Only issue was the ants but they went they went thanks to the powder). People have said about the track to the barn to be honest it's not a major problem. Shops, pub, petrol all about 5 minute drive. Will definitely recommend the place and hope to visit again.

  • "Great, v clean cottage with a fabulous garden."

Really good location for Bude beaches and we also visited Croyde on a couple of occasions. Cottage had everything we needed and kitchen equipped enough to cook in. Only 2 out of the 4 beds were comfortable as the others needed new mattresses. Despite this, would recommend staying here.

  • "Dilly Dally Barn was fantastic in terms of facilities, the owners have honestly thought of everything!"

The fire pit BBQ was a particular hit! We had a few days of rain but there were even board games to keep us going! It is very isolated in terms of the fact you have to drive to everywhere but the local area is well equipped with supermarkets and pubs. Highly recommend a takeaway from Indian Ocean in Holsworthy! Overall we would stay again

  • "We all had a wonderful holiday staying at dilly dally barn."

It’s a beautifully renovated barn to cottage and it was a wow moment when we walked through the front door. Cleanliness was at the highest standard. And the back garden was beautiful and spacious- just what our family needed. The information guides were great and we found a local pub The Bradworthy Inn to be exceptional. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you !

  • "Great little cottage."

Lots of room in both living and sleeping areas. Lovely garden with plenty of room for kids to run around. Generally well equipped but needs Wi-fi. Also double bed needs larger duvet. You need good ground clearance for your car as the access lane is very poor. Loved the log burner and the electric heating kept the barn nice and warm. Would definitely stay again.

  • "Lovely barn conversion - new fittings, very clean, well equipped."

As noted by other reviewers, the owners would really improve this property is they installed wifi. Phone reception was 1 or max 2 bars so it’s worth bearing this in mind for anyone who needs to stay connected. The barn conversion is up a lane which is a rather rough track as people also mentioned but you don’t need a 4x4 or tractor to drive up it so I wouldn’t let that stop you booking.

  • "Dilly dolly barn is a little remote for us the lane a bit difficult for a car with poor ground clearance and you need wifi especially in these times of coved for booking and seeing if things are open etc."

But apart from that it's a lovely cosy barn with everything you need for a relaxing break.

  • "The property is remote, no walking distance facilities, and desperately needs wifi."

Everything else you would need is provided, and it is very clean and comfortable.

  • "We all loved our stay at the barn, lovely quite location, great garden for the kids to play in."

Only downside for us was the lack of drying facilities when coming in from a wet day, a tumble dryer or combination dryer/ washer. Other than that everything else was catered for. Would stay again.

  • "We had a great time in Devon and a lovely stay at Dilly Dally Barn."

The barn is very peacefully situated down a quiet country lane. It was spotlessly clean and the owners Claire and Mike made us very welcome with our first cream tea! It was more spacious than it can seem from the photos but is nicely warmed by the wood burning stove and the four of us were very comfortable (it will accommodate six). It may seem out of the way but we found plenty of things to do reasonably nearby and there's a great garden behind the barn for lazy days. In fact the only problem we had was that we only had a week there!

  • "A lovely, spotlessly clean, well equipped holiday accommodation."

There is also a very comprehensively written folder containing useful information such as nearest shops, banks, petrol stations etc as well as places of interest, nearby attractions etc. The owners are only a stones throw away if anything is needed but let you get on and enjoy your holiday without interfering. Also, the lovely homemade scones, jam and clotted cream were a lovely surprise on our arrival. I wouldn’t mind my feedback being published but would rather my name wasn’t.
