  • "This is a very nice property."

John Bray’s service was excellent. On the first day of our holiday we found the internet wasn’t working. One telephone call to John Bray and it was dealt with within half an hour. New internet hub fitted. Hoping to return to this property.

Thank you for your kind comments. We are pleased your issue was dealt with promptly. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We love this apartment and have stayed here a few times now."

It is very well appointed, has some lovely decor, and the beds are really comfy! The location is excellent. Only a couple of tiny niggles - there are no table mats and the DVD player did not work. The TV is not logged into Netflix though it is a smart TV so you can use own logins.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay at Bodare 1 and had the perfect base to explore the north Cornish coastline from! We appreciate you bringing these little niggles to our attention. We look forward to inviting you back to North Cornwall again very soon. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "A clearer name sign at the lane entrance would be very helpful."

The patio entrance to No 1 is not obvious from the car park so a number on the gate would be useful. No information as to where to put any recycling. Weather was kind for Cornwall though, had a great holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay at Bodare 1. We will let the owner know your comments about the signage for the property. Its fabulous to hear that you had a great holiday- John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "Please give clear directions."

The red pin shows Bodare on the other side of Daymer lane. Really hard to see tiny Bodare sign

We have been reviewing all of our feedback over this years season, we just wanted to say a massive thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. Your comments were noted by us here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and were raised to rectify. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. John Bray on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Bodare 1."

The weather was incredible and we loved the proximity to Daymer Bay. Not having to drive was definitely a bonus! We loved the space inside the apartment and the fact it had a little garden. A couple of negative feedback points: The dishwasher was so old that you couldn’t keep the tab in the compartment - it wouldn't close. As a result the wash was terrible and we had to keep washing the glasses by hand. It’s not what you want to do on holiday! Just irritating. Needs a new one and I have fed that back to John Bray. Also the carpets in the bedrooms could do with a good clean. Lots of black hair on them which hadn’t been picked up by a hoover (maybe dog?). Otherwise everything else was fab.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay, however we are sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the dishwasher. We would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. .- John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

The property

Bodare 1 is an attractive and captivating ground floor holiday apartment.

Situated just a short walk (footpath) from Daymer Bay.

A light stricken paved terrace leads down some steps to a private garden, a gate leads into the further lavishly manicured communal gardens, the start of the footpath can be found here.

Bodare 1 sleeps eight guests in three welcoming bedrooms, perfect for family and friends with parking for two cars outside.

The main bedroom has a super king sized bed with en-suite bathroom, the second bedroom has a king size bed with family bathroom next door and the final bedroom has twin beds plus bunk beds, perfect for the children to share.

A third shower room will end the arguments over who uses the bathroom first.

The fashionable social open plan living area is tastefully furnished with plenty of comfy sofas; floor to ceiling windows give it an illusion of never ending and throws the sunrays onto the large dining area.

Why not make the most in the dreary evenings sitting on the large terrace for quality family time and drinks or arrange your day sitting with a coffee in hand on the steps to the garden.

Being so close the sandy shores of Daymer Bay makes for an easy, relaxing holiday.

Immerse yourself in the Cornish life by exploring the classic fishing harbours of nearby Padstow and Port Issac.

About the location

DAYMER BAY

Polzeath 1.3 miles; Rock 2.3 miles.

Daymer Bay and the village of Trebetherick were both loved by Sir John Betjeman and are unquestionably special. With a huge appeal to both the young and not so young, Daymer Bay has recently been voted one of the best beaches in the world! St. Enodoc Church, once buried in the sand, is within comfortable walking distance of Daymer Bay and is the resting place of Sir John Betjeman. Daymer Bay holds great appeal for wind surfers, kite surfers and paddle boarders, with the gentle waves rolling up the estuary. There is enormous fun too for small children with buckets and spades and fishing in the rock pools. At low tide you can walk across the sand to the village of Rock to indulge in a spot of retail therapy or a bite to eat at one of the many delicious eateries, or catch the short ferry ride and explore the delights of Padstow. Up from the coast path as it runs from Daymer Bay is Highcliffe, nestling between Polzeath and Trebetherick, both of which boast a number of pubs, restaurants and village stores all offering a wide variety of fresh quality produce. The properties at Highcliffe have the advantage of being within easy reach of Daymer, Polzeath and Greenaway - Greenaway being the name given to the clifftop area, beach and small cove with rock pools overlooking the Atlantic beyond that lies between Daymer and Polzeath.

Under the terms of our lease at Bodare no pets are allowed (even dogs of visiting friends) so you must not allow any pets in the grounds or car park areas during your stay under any circumstances.
