“I love Polzeath and all around there.”

I've been visiting for over 50 years, with grandparents, parents, husband, children and now grandchild! Time marches on! It was much quieter in the 60's and so I've followed the changes over the years. The Galleon seems to have been there forever! We have stayed in many Bray properties. We love Gunyah. It is a lovely well designed house and so convenient and a flat walk to the beach. Look forward to hopefully being there again next year.

This property is part of the John Bray Cornish Holidays collection.
John Bray Cornish Holidays offers some of the best located self catering cottages and holiday homes in North Cornwall’s loveliest locations including Rock and Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, and Polzeath and Port Isaac on the Atlantic coast.

The property

Gunyah is a self-catering holiday home ideally located in an elevated position above Polzeath beach.

You can admire the wonderful views through the floor to ceiling doors along the length of the house, as well as on the sun deck upstairs.

Gunyah sleeps up to six people in three fresh, well-furnished bedrooms.

Also has the extra of private parking for up to three cars making it perfect for a family holiday or a group of friends to get away.

In the modern, surf themed kitchen you will be able to cook up some of the local mackerel or fresh seafood.

Coming back to the handy shower room downstairs is great for those sandy days on the beach, be it with a bucket and spade or a day spent SUP or surfing.

The three bedrooms are all very light, spacious and welcoming, two having sea views across to Pentire point and beyond.

A holiday in Polzeath is the cream of the crop of traditional seaside holidays; a popular little town that hums with the surf vibe in high summer, whilst still holding onto the fun family holiday atmosphere.

North Cornwall offers an array of activities from hiking along the footpaths, a visit to local historic places on Bodmin Moor to water sports like water skiing, sailing and stand up paddle boarding (SUP).

At very point you can admire the truly breath taking views that North Cornwall has to offer.

About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
