    At top of steep hill for those that don’t like them but not a problem for us. Stunning walk at your door across the golf course. We understand upgrades occurring in 2024. It has everything we need.

  • "Great location with superb view of the estuary, well equipped and very spacious."

    Property tired and tatty in places - marked walls; greasy windows; visible mould under seats in lounge and bedroom windows; dirty and stained soft furnishings (why have cream furnishings in a holiday rental?), toilet flush not working properly in ensuite; half of toaster not working (replaced by agent quickly); keys to sliding doors didn't lock (reported); duvet didn't fit cover in main bedroom (duvet bigger than cover, so hung out the end). Many of these have been fed back during the year and not fixed or resolved. A bit stingy on consumables for the price e.g. two dishwasher tablets. Overall expensive for what the property turned out to be.

    We are pleased you enjoyed the property's location and views. We are sorry for the maintenance issues you experienced but see that we did respond when informed. We will raise the issues highlighted with our housekeeping team. The owner is planning to repaint the house in the Winter and replace the sofa and chairs.   • "Beautiful setting,fantastic views."

    Could do with a fresh coat of paint on the interior.if you don't like spiders this is not the place for you.toilet flush doesnt work properly in the en suite in the master bedroom,but apart from these little niggles we had a fantastic holiday

  • "Met one of the owners during our stay, he was so accommodating,I’d like to send a big thank you to him."

    The setting was beautiful, and ideally located to the beaches. My only criticism is that the glasses and cookware could be updated, and general maintenance a bit on the tired side… But these things really didn’t impact on our holiday… Thank you Little Trig, would definitely return.

  • "This was our second stay at Little Trig and we were pleased that a large separate freezer has been provided and that linen (with made up beds) is included in the rental."

    The cottage is very comfortable with glorious views across the Camel and is spacious inside and out. It is peaceful and we had everything we needed for self catering. The only suggestions we would make is to provide more teaspoons, have the shower room deep cleansed more often (we scrubbed mould off the tiles) and to repair the flush system in the ensuite bedroom. The flush button required a lot of pressure on the lower part to activate. We look forward to returning to Little Trig. It is very special and we were delighted to meet the owner on our arrival.

  • "We had a very enjoyable week at Little Trig."

    It’s in a great central location in Rock. For us easy walking access to the beach and walks across the dunes. If you were less able, maybe the hill up from Rock Road might be a challenge walking. Wonderful view of Portilly from the sitting room and garden. The garden is not totally enclosed so if you dogs and young children who like to explore, they may need to be watched although this wasn’t a problem for us. We were only a party of four but there was plenty of space and bathrooms to accommodate a full letting of eight persons although perhaps a few more coffee mugs might not go amiss if there were eight in the property! All in all we had a good holiday and would recommend the property.

  • "Our second stay at Little Trig and we continue to love it!"

    The most perfect location combined with a homely feel make this a special property. It is also worth mentioning that the owners react to feedback, as our niggles from last year had been rectified. If you are after something swanky this is not the property for you, as it is also in need of a little TLC. To us, however, it gives us everything we need … spacious and homely accommodation, a wonderful view and a sense of peace and serenity.

  • "This was an amazing property I think the only things that let it down is general cleanliness, the windows and internal glass door hadn’t been cleaned for a while inside or out there were children’s hand prints and general marks."

    The outside parking and driveway could do with a sensor light to aid reversing in the dark. Otherwise this is an amazing property with fantastic views and lovely gardens.

  • "Excellent as usual."

    Little Trig is starting to show 'wear' round the edges eg external facades, kitchen. Needs a tin opener, existing one hardly operates. Also needs a bottle opener. Spot light (nearest wall) is flashing and needs replacing. Trying to finish packing and doing a good clean by 9am is a challenge. We are sure that many tenants would have left on the previous evening. Sykes need to review this now that Covid restrictions are diminishing. Other companies are back to 10am departures and 4pm access.

    It is great to hear you enjoyed your stay at Little Trig, the owners have provided a new bottle and tin opener. The maintenance team are going to attend to fix the spotlight. Our check in and out times have changed since COVID, check out is by 9:30 and check in is any time after 4pm. Property Owner

  • "My wife & i & our family really enjoyed staying at Little Trigg."

    The owner was staying at his property next door and introduced himself to us & was very friendly. Great property, amazing location especially with the access from the bottom of the garden. View from the house is gorgeous, plenty of room in the house, very quiet & great location. Cleanliness could be improved, lots of cobweb & spiders, so had to give it a good hoover everywhere upon arrival. My only recommendation would be to put a side gate on the house to make it more secure for the dog. Our dog "Tetley" loved the garden, but we had to keep an eye on her as the garden is not totally secure. Also to utilise the side building which is beautiful but could be so much more, if opened up & the bushes cut down allowing the building to be seen. Would love to stay there again, however I have seen the prices 2023, which makes it difficult to justify as we won't occupy to capacity.

  • "What a gorgeous property!"

    The location is perfect in Rock - with amazing views and so peaceful and secluded. The property is generously sized and very dog friendly with a dog bed and bowl in the sun room. We couldn’t watch any DVDs though as the player wasn’t connected and didn’t work, and on another note, the dishwasher is too small and can’t take a day’s load not even for just the four of us. It also doesn’t work properly and you find yourself washing dishes after they have come out the dishwasher. However, we really enjoyed our stay!

  • "We had a lovely stay."

    The house has a very nice layout and a nice feel to it and a lovely view. Not sure how suited it is to take a dog during high season. We had our lab with us and as the garden is not secure and also shared with other parts of the adjacent house could be difficult in the summer. It would be great if you put in an outside shower.

  • "Nice and clean, all toilet flushes temperamental."

    Well equipped. Radio required maybe via TV. Poor communication through Sykes, 45 mins to answer phone then diverted to Brays. Not good enough! Misled on extras from Sykes. Added £200 for damage deposit but shown as an extra. We had to clarify in e mail. Leaves a bad taste as even now not sure of getting Damage deposit returned !

Regarding the poor communication received from us, we can only apologise profusely. Due to the takeover from Sykes Cottages it has made communication channels incredibly difficult to maintain. Once all systems have been finalised and put in place communication levels should improve. Finally your damage deposit should be refunded to you around 14 days after your visit ended if there were no damages to the property. The property

Situated on the North Cornwall coast in the popular seaside town of Rock, is a delightful semi-detached holiday property overlooking the Camel Estuary.

Little Trig is the ideal base for families or a group of friends looking to explore the area. The large modern open plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen perfect for sampling the local seafood, a dining area overlooking the wonderful garden terrace ideal for dining inside or outside, a welcoming sitting room the ultimate place for unwinding after a busy day of exploring, leading to garden room with patio doors that also lead to the terrace.

There are three glorious sized bedrooms a king-size with en-suite shower, two twin rooms and a mezzanine room with a single bed, with a pull out truckle single bed that can be made up as a superking, all sharing a large family bathroom with a bath and separate shower.

A utility room and shower room are located on the ground floor. Outside in the beautiful south facing garden is a mature lawned area and a wonderful terrace area the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine. Rock offers a variety of activities watersport and sailing enthusiasts with Camel Ski school and Rock Sailing club located on the waterfront. When the tide is out it is possible to walk along Rock beach to the neighbouring beach Daymer Bay, or you can take the footpath across the clifftops to Polzeath, a bustling resort set in a small sandy bay.

Further along the clifftops is Port Isaac, a quaint fishing village of Doc Martin fame. There is so much to see and explore in this corner of North Cornwall. Whatever you get up to on your holiday Little Trig is perfect for families and friends.

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
