“Despite the weather, we had a lovely family week in Malindi.”

As you will know, we have been staying in Polzeath for many years so tend to return to the usual, familiar haunts/beaches!

This property is part of the John Bray Cornish Holidays collection.
John Bray Cornish Holidays offers some of the best located self catering cottages and holiday homes in North Cornwall’s loveliest locations including Rock and Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, and Polzeath and Port Isaac on the Atlantic coast.

About the property

Malindi is a pocket-sized, detached beach style holiday chalet, located above the golden sandy beach at Polzeath, having the most exquisite sea views right across the bay towards Pentire Point.

A favourable location of the conservatory, for surfers or swimmers to check the surf and tidal conditions before venturing out.

Accessed via a private road, there is parking for two cars.

The chalet has an enclosed lawned garden and can comfortably sleep 8 in four homely bedrooms, making it fantastic for two families or a group of friends.

Malindi offers a bright and airy living area, the music from the sea will remind you how close you are to the mesmerizing Atlantic Ocean.

Leading from the living area, out onto a wooden balcony, the resulting place for an evening drink whilst watching the sun sink down into the sea.

Offering one bedroom with a kingsize bed, two rooms with twin beds and a double bedroom with an en-suite, with a further family bathroom.

Polzeath being a blue flagged beach has a varied selection of beach shops and places to eat, all of which are only a short stroll from the property, including surf schools and coastal activities all available for the more adventurous members of your party.

The breath taking, stony coastal paths can take you from the beach up to Pentire Point and beyond toward Lundy Bay.

Taking the less rugged path in the other direction you will find hidden coves and inlets leading you towards the calmer waters of dog friendly Daymer Bay.

About the location

POLZEATH

Wadebridge 7.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
