John Bray Cornish Holidays offers some of the best located self catering cottages and holiday homes in North Cornwall’s loveliest locations including Rock and Daymer Bay, on the Camel Estuary, and Polzeath and Port Isaac on the Atlantic coast.

About the property

Mobray is a traditional Cornish cottage situated just 100 yards from the thriving fishing harbour of Port Isaac.

Recently renovated, this homely cottage is stylish and contemporary, yet retains much of its original charm, including exposed beams and a wood burner, for cosy winter afternoons.

Its central location is perfect for those who want to stay in the very heart of this ambient village, and from here you will find yourself conveniently placed to enjoy all that Port Isaac has to offer, including a selection of independent shops, galleries and eateries serving arguably some of the best seafood in Cornwall, pulled straight from the harbour!

Morbay is an idyllic getaway for couples or a small family looking for a base from which to explore the beautiful North Cornwall coast.

The ground floor accommodation is relaxed and informal, and is tastefully decorated with calm pastel tones and comfortable furnishings.

The open plan living and dining area is especially homely, with underfloor heating and a delightful wood burner perfect for snuggling in front of after a day exploring, whilst the separate kitchen is compact but well-equipped.

In the evenings, head up to the first floor where there is a spacious bedroom with two single beds, and a stylish family bathroom, or ascend further to the second floor to find a mezzanine level with a master bedroom built into the eaves.

Mobray is ideally located within walking distance of the harbour and its popular beach (exposed on a low tide), and also the cobbled streets of Port Isaac that are peppered with a wealth of shops, art galleries and eateries, including the popular restaurant of Michelin star chef Nathan Outlaw.

The nearby South West Coast Path offers beautiful views of Doc Martin’s famous ‘Portwenn’, and from the village, paths navigate to Padstow, Tregardock and Polzeath providing the perfect way to explore the surrounding Cornish landscape.

Just a short distance by car you will reach the villages of Rock and Padstow, and also the market town of Wadebridge, from which you can explore the Camel Estuary.

Morbray is a friendly and snug holiday home ideal for those looking to explore, relax and make memories on the beautiful North Cornwall coast.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
