  • "Fabulous house, garden and location."

Great views. Really appreciated the outdoor shower. We had a lovely week. Our only concern was that the hot water temperature in the kitchen tap and in the shower (in the non-bath bathroom) were rather too hot. Even on the coldest setting the shower was too hot to put a young child under. We were all adults so could manage, however the kitchen tap was really tricky to get hot without almost scalding yourself. Perhaps this could be dialled down a bit?

Thank you for letting us know you had such a great stay. We also appreciate the information about the hot water - we will raise this with our maintenance teams. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We loved our stay."

The property is really well designed and the layout worked well for the 8 of us coming back from the beach. Lovely to have toys, games and maps of the area. The hot tub was very well worth it! On arrival the property wasn't done justice by equipment being left out-mops propped up at front of house, bag of bottles, garden hose partially unwound on back lawn, washing line up, peg basket broken and pegs scattered on lawn, dishwasher full. It would have been nice if the shrubs were lower to have full advantage of the wonderful view. These are however minor niggles as we didn't want to leave and hope to book again

Thank you for your lovely comments regarding your stay. We apologise for the housekeeping issues you had, these will be passed to our housekeeping team to be addressed. We very much look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. John Brays Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "Whilst we loved being at Sea Mist again there are a couple of things that need addressing: 1."

Scalding hot shower in shower room of extension. Temperature Regulator does not work. Unable to use. 2. In shower by entrance door there is no privacy film or blind on window and builders are working on property next door so no privacy when they are there.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we will speak to our maintenance team about the points you have made but we do hope to welcome you back to North Cornwall again soon. John Brays Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The owner has put an awful lot of work, design and thought into the property all of which was much appreciated."

It was better than either the listing or than it looks from the outside. It was really very comfortable, well equipped with super views of the sea and we would recommend it to anyone. Our problems were practical: 1. The Sitting Room Tv remote did n't work as the batteries were flat. This was particularly challenging as we only discovered it after the shops has closed when we wanted to watch the Jubilee celebrations. 2. The boiling water tap was not working and did not even work properly after it was 'fixed'. We finally managed to find an old kettle which did not pour properly which is dangerous. 3. The washing machine was broken and John Bray did not have a spare one. The door refused to open trapping all my best holiday /Jubilee party clothes! John Bray's engineers came but it all takes time when you would prefer to be having a break.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your visit but thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we tried to sort them for you. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. We hope to welcome you back to north Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "We loved the bungalow and would like to come back next year to it possibly."

We did have problems with the lights on the first night and it was sorted mostly but the main problem was the bed in the master bedroom. I had to take pain killers to sleep on it and then sleep on top of the mattress. You can feel the metal springs coming through. It gave me back pain which I never get. I phoned the office and they said they would look into it and find out from the owners if other people found it uncomfortable but we have not heard back.
